let me chime in since i own a G37 coupe, bro owns new MDX, we also have '05 TSX, '06 MDX, and we used to have '03 CL-S and '99 CL

'06 MDX has plenty of hard plastics....seats aren't even that comfy
but i still think it was one of the best SUVs at that time we bought it new.

new MDX is prolly the best SUV right now, IMO, but the plastics in that car looks like it was painted to look like metal...i'd rather have real aluminum trim than fake look (faux metallic)...that's why i dont understand why ppl like the interior plastics in lexus as well..their plastics looks similar to the acuras but they look cheap and scratch easily....the design and layout are nicer than that of infiniti BUT quality of plastics over real aluminum, real aluminum FTW

OH and if u're talking bout the doors for the g37 coupe, i wish they were hollow...those doors weigh a TON!
and if u're judging by the sound of the door closing its prolly cus the windows shakes and rolls up once u shut the door

however, i am with you on the exterior door handle...guess it does feel kinda cheap

There is no comparison... Infiniti's are much more of an enthusiasts car. 1,000 times more fun to drive.

okay you are comparing a sports coupe with a luxury sports sedan.

The infiniti to me makes a great car. on the outside and the engineering is comparable to Honda ( honda is way better imo). The coupe is beautiful on the outside but the inside looks horrible. It so plain. If you thinking of custom okay. But me that this is a beast on the outside but i like feel the inside on the car as much as the outside. just my

Stay with the Acura.

Good luck

+1 that's why I chose 3gen TL over G35/37. TL is well rounded car.

The G37 interior isn't the best out there, but it's far from a let down and leap years ahead of the last G. I certainly wouldn't buy an Acura over an Infiniti just because the interior is a little nicer...

I own an Acura, but have driven a G37S for weeks at a time and it will most likely be my next car for multiple reasons. (honorable mention to the 328 ht vert and the S2000)

True, but at least it's an option, which is mandatory for me.
Well, I think it's because since I'm driving an old car, I'm not expecting much from it. I was expecting a lot more for the G37 though since it's much newer and because of the reviews from people here, saying how much better the interior has improved over the old model.

I meant to say the sound when closing the door sounded hollow to me...lol.

Genesis coupe is coming turbocharged with a twin-variant of the 4G63 engine.

As for the G, I still, and probably always will prefer the G35 to the G37, it just looks better through and through.

Go find a used G35 and use the money you saved to mod the living sh!t out of it.

..And I agree, why has the 370z NOT been mentioned yet?! GO DRIVE ONE!

I think the Genesis 2.0T has a 4B11t as the base motor.

^^^convertibles are heavy-ass cars, Hardtop convertibles are even heavier

besides, the new G convertible looks like a toyota solara

edit: I just looked it up.... it's an extra 450lbs for the hardtop convertible (thats over 4100 lbs... getting pretty close to my FX45!!)

The knobs/switches are straight from the Nissan recycling bin (radio dials etc..) , the cheap chrome door handles/locks, roof lining, plastic "oh shit" handles, hard plastic around the lower center stack, and the aluminum "washi" interior....The only thing I really liked was the steering wheel.
who cares about the interior? That car is hot...and the power...

Meh...to each his own.
I was more of a fan of the VQ35's (DE/HR), I just don't really think the new G's do anything for me. I got quite bored with 298-ish whp. But then again, thats me..lol

Got it from that. They say they are basically twins.
Good enough for me. The 4G's were indestructible.

The new Evo is using 4B, not 4G. I think the old 4G had a cast iron block vs the new aluminum alloy block. I think the old one can withstand higher boost and thus make more power.

lol ya, Edmunds tested a chipped Evo X with exhaust and that car was already making 100 more hp over the stock car. That's about $1000 in mods.

for the love of God dont buy a hyundai.

as far as the G37, consumer reports loves it. it got excellent ratings as far as reliability, and they love the balance of luxury/sportiness/sexiness. i drove a g35 coupe once, and it was amazing. i love those cars.
