Consumer Reports: Used car yearbook

Anyone pick this up yet? It talks about the best ways to buy or lease a used car. Some good info in there. In the back they have relablity charts for cars 96-03.

Some cars that caught my eye....

Acura CL: Transmission in 01 and 02 said: Certain Injury, possibly severe
Same for body intergirty. Other that that, everything was great.

Audi A4: 96-02 has bad electrial and bad power equiment

Audi A6: 96-02 engine, fuel, electrical, suspension, brakes, body, power equiment and body were all shitty.

Bmw 3-series: body intergity and aircondition, electrical were crappy

Chevy Astro van was shitty in almost everything.
Hell most of the domestics were crap!

But most of the GM cars werent as bad.

Jeep is just plain terrible

Most lexus were on top, no problems

Benz e-class was one of the worse in electrical and power equiment, everything else was bad but not terrible

Anyways, i bought the magazine so if anyone wants info on a certain car then let me know. I didnt want to type them all out.

They also have best picks for performance and reliablity. Not one european car and maybe 5 american cars were picked. Rest were imports.

Don't know about all Jeeps but I know quite a few people with Grand Cherokees. They all had problems with them and will probably not buy another.

Most Infiniti did really well.

Almost anything 2003 was fine, my guess is that they didnt have enough data for it. Ill look up both cars once i grab the magazine from the toliet.

Ok.

G35 has the best marks for everything. And moderate injury likey to Body Intergrity and power equiment.

03 CL did great as well, moderate injury for only Tranmisson and Body hardware.

02 GTI - Electrial, body integrity, and body hardware got certain injury, possibly servere which is like in the middle of the scale.

Most 02 and 03 cars did well, might be because they are newer and havent had time to have issues.
I didnt even read the whole article yet, i will once i go for round 2.

How about a 2000 Accord coupe V6. I have this and if I agree with it, I'll pick it up.
