Color Schemes
Anybody else notice that color schemes very similar to those offered in the 1970s are making a comeback in new cars?
Just a few examples...Hyundai will sell you a Tucson in Celery Green with a two-tone brown leather interior. BMW can sell you a Bordeaux Paint Job with Bordeaux leather to match while Ford offers a black and brown two-tone interior on numerous models. Even Acura has gone retro with the 2011 RL as the Seacoast Interior has Ivory colored seats, carpet, and upper door panels while the lower door panels and dash are a darker, camel color.
I thought some things were best left in the '70s, don't you?

I personally like the new interior choices. I was disappointed that there were only 2 interior options for the wife's new QX, black and tan. I love the bmw saddle interiors. My friend has a F-150 platinum with a brown interior that's awesome.

The brown doesn't really strike my fancy... Maybe I am just more of a normal beige person? I know all the dirt shows up, but at least it's not as hot during the summer as black leather.
I do however wish more automakers would offer a dark green color; my old Civic was dark green and I think it looks great. BMW used to offer a Deep Green Metallic on the 3 and 5-Series (still can get it on a 7 or an X5 I believe) and I was always a fan. Not as much of a fan of the new Tasman Green though.
So far, my count for automakers that offer dark green are all the Brits (Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini), Mercedes (the Jade Green color is dark enough for me, though they used to offer a darker green) and Toyota/Lexus (it's called Black Forest Mica or Peridot? Odd names, but it's generally a dark green color... I saw a '10 Camry today in that color and liked it)
I regret not hunting down a TSX in Deep Green, but out of all fairness, it's not the easiest color to find either.

I'm not sure about "color's from the 70's" but manufacturers are catering quite a bit to new colors that seemed out of place before to appeal to more buyers that tend to look for "flashy" cars.
