Coilover Noise

My suspension on my 97 Accord LX has been making terrible noises all over, I have neuspeed sport springs, and not sure what kind of struts. My mom took it to my mechanic, whom has done lots of work on my Jeep and so far has been trustworthy. He looked at it and said the coilovers were just hitting when they went down causing the noise and said it is not a problem really and there is nothign really to do. Is this true? Is there anything I can do to make my suspension shut up? I am just glad my car is loud enough you can't really hear the suspension.

there is a rubber insolation that should of been on your stock springs that should of been transfered to the neuspeeds to prevent this from happening.
