my gf's cousin just got a 97 Lexus es300. although it's old, it's in a fricken perfect condition inside and out.!! i was seriously amazed on the condition. 1st and only owner barely drove it w/ only 50k miles on it.. he got it for 9k.. sticker was 11k i think..


but anyways,the reason i posted this thread is b/c he wants some rims. i saw him looking online and whoa, this guy does not have taste. but then again, he was on a budget.. so i told him not to get what he was getting, (some cheap brand i think it was primax or something that looked like something you put on a 95 corolla).. i told him about the site i'm always on (acurazine) - (the same site i get in trouble for going on as well) and the people there knows what is hot for cars.. so guys/girls.. what do you recommend for him? please list any and everything. price is a concern, but as of rigth now, it doesn't hurt to look (maybe if its hot it might convince him to spend more money)..


it would be nice if you also list where we can see a pic of it as well.. btw, his car is tan/brown whatever you call it for lexus.

I'd do the suspension before I would ever put rims. Whats the point of rims if you have an ugly ass wheel gap.

tint the windows, lower it, and slap some 17 or 18 in chrome

i cant picture anything else but chrome on a lexus

I'd leave it stock; aftermarket rims make the ES look ghetto IMO. It's just not that kind of car.

its just not one of those cars you can mod and expect to look good. most people will take a look at it and say dang some kid took his parent's car and made it look silly.
