Correct me if I'm wrong, then. Judging by its appearance, which is all I have to go from, it looks like it's a bit of a show piece, not trading paint on a track.

Synth, I like those shots you posted a lot. More so with the 1st set of wheels.

However the side shot makes the rear end look odd. From the rear it looks a lot better.

Just certain angles.

That's not my point. You don't know the owner and you're just making an assumption it's a "show car." You either like the kit or you don't. If the car is a dedicated track car, then it shouldn't make the car less "ridiculous."

Clearly, I disagree with your take on the strictness of preference for style. I happen to think some things have their place in certain circumstances.

For example, I think this (below) looks fantastic on a track and as a museum piece:

But an effort to recreate that for a street car would just look gaudy and embarrassing.

Similarly, this looks good as a track car, but would be ridiculous on the road as well:

However, this (below) is ALWAYS ridiculous:

i was with you ttribe until you said you wouldnt drive that AMG on the road lol. id drive the shit out of it lol.

i get what your saying though. for the track i would rock that kit if it helped aero wise but on the street no.

prime example, google the "lovefab nsx". im sure all those spoilers help race wise but would look stupid driving around town in. but im sure there are some people who would have no problem driving that on the street.

Thing is, alot of ppl have cars with multiple roles/purposes. I see cars ALL the time on the track/street/ and shows. I just don't think you can really pigeon-hole a certain look if that's the owner's prerogative.

^ I'm open to it on a racetrack. Looks perfectly fine there.

I'm pushing 30 years old, no way would I drive that down the street. Not my thing; apparently not a lot of others either.

I remember the JGTC series from a long ass time ago and remembered a similar car on prime.. Even the "new cancelled" NSX is racing JGTC iirc.
http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64755

I can appreciate the work that goes into it, but it's not for me or the other 50%+ people in this thread.

I'm a personal friend of his and he breaks necks all the time wherever he goes...the exhaust note alone is ridiculously loud since it's custom...this car was built to do what it's suppose to do...no expenses were spared...the wheels were his own custom design since he works for ISS forged wheels...that motor is built too...he doesn't daily this car...and that "ricey" kit that you guys are talking about cost more then probably any of most of the mods that some of u claim the car to be but then again, that's only an opinion too...Synth19 knows what he's talking about...it takes another NSX owner to appreciate a car like this...that pic was just to make u guys laugh at the fact that I was cleaning his wheel while it was rolling..it was rig shot....thats all it was suppose to be...

Money, or who designed it has nothing to do with it. It's already been said that many of us can appreciate the time and craftsmanship that went into it. That's not what's being discussed here.

this is not a shot just my opinion. any car can break necks doesnt mean its always good. that car would break my neck i still wouldnt want it.

the cost of the kit or who made it means ABSOLUTELY nothing. if its not appealing, its not appealing. the veilside widebody kit for the nsx cost 10k but its still ugly.

im a nsx owner and it still doesnt appeal to me other than the wheels.

^now THAT is clean. I've seen quite a few NSXs with Type-R bits, so it's not quite as neck-breaking, bit that's definitely way cleaner than the blue one. I can appreciate the craftsmanship and expense but it just isn't my taste and I'm not the only one.

Also, dat E30 M3.

also I'm very familiar with the JGTC look and I like it on certain cars. though as mentioned, it looks ridiculous on a street car.

I love the color

I really like race inspired road cars so I love the blue NSX.

But I gotta say, the best NSX I've ever seen is the one where the guy retrofitted the RDX navi into it. The custom work in that thing is
