Hello everyone how many people here has transmission problem with their 2005 Acura tl 3 generation ? If , so I think it about time we all get together and file suit against Honda corporation for faulty transmission they knew all along they are faulty . I only have eighty six thousand miles on mine never drove it in the winter since I first purchased it in 2005 .

You should check into whether the statutes of limitation would time bar a lawsuit for a 7-10 year-old car. 
There are a few threads on transmission failures in the 3G TL forum, including one regarding a potential class action.

IIRC, the issue was the temps from the friction modifiers used in the Honda ATF.
Hard-ware wise, there was a work-around oil jet install and then a manufacturing change from late-2004 onwards. Honda also changed its ATF formulation from the prior Z1 to the current DW1.
Statistically, IDK if the 5AT failure rate on the '05-'06 TL is higher than for any non-J-series car with an auto trans-- some transmissions for every vehicle will be defective due to problems in materials, manufacturing or assembly which can't be controlled by the manufacturer.
