Cl-s upgrades vs Honda cbr600rr or Yamaha r6

Recently my brother bought a honda CBR600RR. His purchase wanted to make me get a bike. I can either save my money and pay off my car then get either a Honda CBR 600 RR or a Yamaha R6, or upgrade my car with Koni shocks, comptech springs, comptech sways. Maybe future mods. I was just wanting some opinions on getting a bike or modding my car.
Thanks

I love my CL and i'm not a fan of bikes. However the R6 is freaking hot as hell.

Got to go with the YZF-R6.

I just bought a red and black 04 R6 and love it. I was in a similar place, i had a lump sum of money that i was going to use to buy a g35 coupe outright but couldnt part with so much money so i ended up buy an r6 and keeping my old CL and invested the rest of the money I feel so freakin mature for not blowing all the money, it sucks. As for the bike it is tons of fun granted i really wanted liquid silver but all the dealers had red Oh well

Get a bike bro; but be warned. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER. Well the only bike I have experience with is the 600 RR. Damn man, for a beginner bike its waayyyyy too fast. It's scary; the thing pulls and pulls and talk about engine brake!! It's soo easy to get thrown off with the power. The throttle is super sensitive too, but aside all that its a freakin thrill. I haven't gotten as much of a rush doing anything else!! So I say get the bike!! It's not too often you get do 0-60 under 4 seconds and the quartr mile in low 12's; high 11's. I don't know the difference between an R6 or the RR, but either one will be good; they're all the same, but I think the Honda revs higher; which means its better hehe; j/p.

Get a motorcycle!

I've been riding crotchrockets since 1997 and I have loved ever minute of it.

But get the Yamaha or if you do get a Honda, may I suggest you consider the Honda F4i.

You can pick one of these up new cheaper than the 600RR and used REALLY cheap (my buddy picked up an '02 for $4000). Also, if memory serves, the F4i is faster than the 600RR in the 1/4 mile. This is a big misconception, as people assume the RR to be the faster of the two, perhaps due to the R6 being faster than the YZF-600. (I'm pretty sure the same can be said about the Kawasaki 600's, meaning the 6R is quicker in straight line acceleration than the 6RR-crazy, but I think true).

However, I believe the 600RR is a better track bike (same with the Kawasaki 6RR).

But utimately, in my opinion, a motorcycle purchase isn't about the specs, it's all about how the bike feels/fits to you (yeah looks matter, but not as much as this).

And experience pays off, for the most part, an experienced and/or skillful rider can walk all over a newbie and/or a unskilled rider in hole shots and twisty roads-so the bike is only one part of the equation.

My advise, get on these bikes, try them out and see which one works for you.

No matter what, if you get a bike, please be careful and mindful that people in cars just don't look out for us motorcyclists as well as they should-always be on the defensive. (sorry about the lecture)

Take care,
Larry
