...that's cause it's gorgeous!

Morgan, exhaust sounds good, man...sorry about the drone. I have a very slight drone with the RV6 but you REALLY have to listen for it to hear it.

Yea, at start up its crazy loud. Later today or tomorrow Ill get some vids with it warmed up and some static revs. If I have a chance to wash the car in the morning Ill toss the GoPro on it and go for a drive.

The tone itself of the exhaust is great. I get compliments everywhere on it, its just the cabin noise thats unbearable.

0 & bowroffle at the drift crash. RC car looks cool, how long till you have 100 rims for it????

It has been my experience drone always happens right freaking at cruising speeds where I spend most of the time. I finally got a bigger muffler and with the cutout when I want powa I open it making that exhaust note in your vid sound silent.

lol
It feels good. Down low theres not much (obviously) but up top it pulls harder then stock. It also sounds great up top, not too loud, but a very nice tone.

I already want to pick up a new set of wheels for the r/c car

And , the drone is right at cruising speeds

I believe the test car was bone stock.

They don't have the r/c car listed on their site, but I heard you can get it from a Scion dealer for ~$250.

Nice Sprint! Love the body on it. I need to find pics of my old cars. I used to have two Tamiya electric cars, an HPI Nitro RS4, a Traxxas E-Maxx, and a Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec. I miss them, so I was very giddy when I got this one for free.

Thanks! I've dealt with drone in the past, but this is by far the worst. Its such a low frequency that it rattles my brain. Driving 40 miles each way to work sucks now.

How about having them add a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator?!? They're supposed to KILL drone.

I'm sure with a new product you might as well let THEM figure it out.

Its got a Vibrant resonator in it now IIRC. Its a small one though, 4" body, 11.5" overall length. I'm going to see what they say to my offer, hopefully they let me bring the car to them.

Morgan, how wide is your exhaust pipe....???

4" resonator seems fine but the 11.5" seems kinda short....i think replacing it with a 16-18" resonator should do the trick...

Im going to give them a chance to fix it before I do anything that drastic. It was a pain in the ass to install anyway

The FR-S body looks sweet, nice attention to detail. I like the Five Axis wheels.

Must be awesome to get hooked up by the manufacturers.

O and yes RCs can be a money pit, you can put a mamba motor in that E10 for a mere $300 then that thing will really move.

Dont tempt me

Its got a 2000mah NiMH battery pack right now, I plan on swapping that out for a LiPo. But I really need to read up a bit more on electric cars, most of my modding experience is with the nitro cars, and even that was 7+ years ago.

I had this long boring explanation about lipos for you Morgan, and my phone erase as i hit reply

Breakdown would be a lipo needs a balance charger.
Lipo batteries on a motor thats not bushless increases runtime only.
You need to tune the speed control so you don't burn everything.
You can get a bushless motor, speed control, lipo, and balance charger for around 200

i have nitro and electric, and electric is cleaner and faster but i wouldn't give up my rs4 either

Thanks for the break down on LiPo. I figured I'd have to get a new ESC along with a new motor to run them along with a charger.
