civic 1980-1983

Took the crappy pics with my phone, so yeah. So I saw this in the parking lot at the Chicago Prime Outlet. This thing was in great shape inside and out when I was checking out the car. Yall don't see many of these running around .

that's the one in Aurora right? dang that thing is tiny compared to that Cherokee parked next to it.

pretty funny if you park that old Civic next to a current Civic and the current one looks like the size of probably a 94-97 Accord sedan.

I was at a Honda dealership on RT 22 in NJ and they have a couple old Honda models in their show room. They were really cool to look at.

A dealer around me had a civic that was from the 70's, I could barely pass it up for $1900.

Unfortunately not, it would have just taken up space and I don't really want to start some odd collection.

If I was ever to win the lottery, I'd buy a bunch of odd cars... I've wanted an old aircooled honda car for awhile now... but an old 1st gen civic would be cool to have too...

I would just buy a bunch of crappy cars that I could put LSX motors in, such as old volvos, miatas, RX7s and Supras. The small honda would have been sweet especially if me and my big friends took it out and all got out of it. What would you think if a 6"2" 6'4" 6'4" and 6'7" guy got out of the same little car? Personally I don't think that it would go because that would add around 850lbs.

Am I hallucinating or is there a 5 speed badge on the hatch. How long has it been since car companies have advertised how many speeds they have in the car on the car

Ya think you can fit a 302 in there?

i looked at the pics again and i think this person who owns this car has a flag on the front windshield, but can't tell if it's from Cuba or another country.

i should drive by that outlet and see if that Civic is parked there again, probably not.

There is a Honda dealership in Oregon (Corvallis to be exact) that has/had a Honda N360 and a S600 roadster in the showroom

I'm fairly certain that is more like a 1976-1979 We had a 1978 Hatchback just like that. Purchased it new for about $4200. Ours was a semi automatic 2 speed. You manually shifted from first to second gear. It was a great car that held four full size adults. Nice little canyon carver that could give my VW Scirocco a good run for the money.

At the time their theme was 'Honda we make it simple.' They only offered Civic hatchback or wagon, Accord hatchback. your choice of exterior color and transmission, that's it.

A couple of different Honda dealerships here in NJ have ^^ along with an S600.

The OP's pic reminds me of my old 1980 Accord hatch. For whatever reason, it seemed to be a chick magnet during the time I owned its (circa 1986-1988).
