^ I'm sure your SRT8 is a great car, that i know.

But all the Chrysler products that i had driven were pretty much crap. that's for sure. $10k off the msrp? Something's wrong with it.

It's not just on 200s it's on all 2011+ chryco models. And it has been all year. Not to mention the 2012s are out now, too.

It's because a lot of people have this preconceived notion about their cars (like you and dallison) that they are all discounting the models to make them appealing and get buyers in the door to see Chrysler has indeed changed.

Is the 200 a totally new model, no. Is it the best of the models in the line up, no. But it's not a compete turd anymore either.

I've been saying it for 2 years now. Chyrco really has made an effort and I think the 2011 lineup really shows how much they have been putting in and improving. It's getting the ignorance of people who had a shitty Chrysler in the 90s or a crappy rental car with the shit base 4 cyl to just open their eyes and acknowledge, whether they like the cars or not.

It's just my opinion.. but if Chrysler thinks running the massive discount on the new cars like $10k off of msrp would change the perception of the brand from people like me, then they are definitely doing it wrong. That's just not how branding works.

Actually. It's made it very appealing for people to see they can get a 40k jeep for 32k.

You're judgement is coming from a bottom of the line car.

It may be, but i am very sure it's not far from the truth. I'm not saying the rest of the lineup is the same but the 200/sebring is.
Mopar has some nice stuff. I wouldn't buy it, but it's much better than it used to be.

I would like to see how they are beyond the 3-5 year mark to really say how they perform and how reliable they really are. That tells me how good a car is.
Normally domestic manufacturers have to discount their cars more than imports to get people to buy them. Things have changed for them though, but time will tell as they have a bad record.

Domestics HAVE to put some effort in to compete. I think that they, in the past, haven't paid attention to their consumers or cheaped out when choosing some part over choosing a more quality product. I understand all business tries to cut costs, but doing it at the expense of losing a customer for a short time or a lifetime is bad.

And I think Chrysler has been doing just that. They are currently on their second national tour goin to events with the fan base. They are present on the forums. They ARE listening to and giving the consumers what they based on all that feedback.

I have personally witnessed this first hand.

I had a 300M before the CLS.
It was about as problem free as the CLS was. It's funny the only brand that has given me problems has been ford. I can't seem to get a trans that lasts over 90K with them.

Is Chrysler still selling a lot of its lower end cars as rentals? Fleet sales?

I'm so not up to date on Chrysler.

I don't like the older durangos. They drive big and heavy. These are a pleasure, great car to have spend a lot of time in. Very comfy. If I could afford it. I'd buy an rt model for my DD.
