My husband's new toy.

My weekend was spent driving to Kansas to pick up my husband's new toy. BUT I guess it was worth it. He got an incredible deal on it and the guy threw in his jacket, helmet, and gloves as well. So as soon as I put new pads in the helmet, I'll be enjoying it from the backseat as well.

2007 Kawasaki ZX 14

Bone stock for now - but that won't last long. He's already talking about new exhaust, new mirrors, new this, new that... My Acura is so neglected.

We have a stock rear seat.
I'd love to be holding my own, but I gave him the green light to sell the Honda (which was supposed to be mine) to buy this one.

That was nice of you. Just keep asking to ride the 14 (by yourself) and he'll find a way to work a bike for you into the budget eventually

big bike! too much power for anyone IMO. enjoy the ride and be safe, looks like you got a clean ride! I'd really recommend some BRIGHT HIDs on it, theyre annoying to drivers but thats the point

HIDs are definitely on his short list of mods. It's a huge bike. I didn't realize the size difference until he put it in the garage. It takes up twice the room the Honda did.

Thank you, we'll definitely be safe.

as safe as you try to be on a motorcycle-it is the other driver's that cause problems. My husband has quite a few near misses. He always wears his helmet.

BTW - that T-Shirt reminds me of my ex-boyfriend in HS who had a decal on the tank of his bike that read "Don't ask to ride my bike and I won't ask to ride your bitch." He was a PK. Go figure!

Nowwhere near as tight as the CBR600RR that he's used to. He said it was definitely an adjustment. He's in heaven, though. I love seeing him so happy!

Funny you say that. My buddy buys and sells bikes frequently to make a little money and ride different bikes. He went from a R6 to a CBR100RR and he had a tough time adjusting. His primary complaint was it handled a bit loose. I assumed it was the mass or tweaks the previous owner did. When he eventually sold his RR (replaced it for a Gixxer 6), he said the liter bike ruined him. Even though he felt less nimble, he needed more powahh.
