Chick in a 3 series Bimmer gets a lesson...

I'm coming home from work today and it's rush hour bumper to bumper traffic so I'm in no hurry. Traffic was moving about 5mph so when I saw a car trying to cross the street in front of me I waved him though. This meant hitting my brakes for 1/2 second and slowing a couple more mph. Apparently that was too long for this chick driving a new (dealer tags) 3 series behind me. From this point on she decided to drive aggressively and ride my ass. As we get an opening in traffic and we're coming up on a left hand turn I start to get on it. She's stuck to me even though I'm over 1/2 pedal. Knowing the NT05s were still kind of cold I took the corner conservatively but still harder than I thought she was willing to go. To my surprise she followed through glued to me. I was thinking this was not going to be good for her. I started accelerating midway through the corner and her Bimmer lost traction, the front plowed away and she went wide nearly into the curb. After nearly coming to a stop and hitting the curb she continued hang back for a while and then floored it past me only to stop 2 cars ahead in traffic. I seriously thought she was going to take out the redlight pole and street sign. I had a good laugh because she was so intent on riding my ass that she nearly wrecked her new car. I tried to get up next to her so I could laugh but no luck.

I was wondering where this story would go, because I didn't think you would have beat up a new 3series in a race. Awesome story.

Fucking tell me about it. Its a god damn stripped out 3 series most of the time. (see sig). Just like my friend who drives a '99 auto 323i sedan no options what so ever, not even cruise control. He drives like its an M3 and messed with everyone and gets his ass handed to him most of the time.

Drag race, depends on the model. On the track, short of an M3 the 3 series has no chance. Some chick in a basic 330, no chance of staying with me in the corners. I honestly think if I would have taken it harder she would have followed. My car was her limiting factor until she lost control. If I had entered the corner 5mph quicker which I surely could have, I would be posting about a 3 series wrapped around a pole lol.

Had that happen to me once, but it was a nissan altima that lost control behind me.

Poor guys ego must have been hurt after that but i sure did chuckle.

Also i sure hope you can out-drive a chick regardless which car she was driving.

This happens to me alot. I'll be driving minding my own business doing the speed limit & here comes "I'm hot shit" little Ms. bitch driving her BMW or other expensive car daddy bought them. Then they ride my ass which I seriously hate.
Although the TLS might not elude them, my 08' Suzuki B king which isn't stock and has 175 RWHP has no problem at all leaving them behind.

Me too. But a single steady state corner is more the car and tires than the driver. Put us on a track and I'll put some serious distance on her.

I'm never that lucky. When I drive the TL I'll pull up to Lambos, Vipers, Ferraris, etc. In the GN all I get is the random Prius or Corolla and everyone drives super slow.

When I commuted to the city a few years back there was a woman in a Camry who I saw several times on the commute. She used to yell and scream at every car on the road and drive insanely every day. It got to be great fun watching this, and occasionally I'd see her coming from behind and I would casually impede progress. It was great watching her turn purple and hurl obscenities at me. Fun.

As for little miss BMW, sounds like you did exactly what most of us would have done. Excellent.

nice driving OP! Too many retards on the road...

I love messing with dumb drivers on the highway. I have put in over 30,000 miles on Chicago's 90/94, so I know which lanes will be faster at any given spot with traffic. Then there's always the guy/girl trying to get around cars including mine. I just get into the correct lane and pass him and a couple other cars....and then watch him try to catch up again...then repeat.

Here the limits are real low (40 - 60 km/h) so I really can't have too much fun, but it is nice to punch out an Altezza (Lexus IS, previous model) or a LGT that has a crappy driver.

Agreed. I saw the recent test in Car and Driver where the V6 beats up on the EVO and STi on the road course. Not bad for a base model.

You know what? If I could vote for you (like running for presidency or something), I would! Not only you have great explaination about cars but you actually avenge the poor and wronged! lol

Seriously, well done, we are too feww great drivers, we must teach so many losers to drive correctly...

Maybe we should start a clan like the Spartans of Driving or something...

Are you kidding? There was NO WAY she was going to let you catch her after that. She's gotta save face somehow!

I used to be the guy on the road that had to get around everyone, but not anymore. It's just not worth the stress, aggravation, etc. And it's pretty stupid too.

Plus I couldn't be that guy now anyway. After the TL got broadsided I replaced it with a Tahoe and I don't really drive that thing, but rather guide it along. It's a beast.

I still do the intentional impeding thing when I see others acting stupid, it's amazing how easy it is with this thing. If I see someone coming up or "thinking" about coming around, I just drift over a little and they back off - fast.

Too bad she didn't hit the curb. It didn't seem like she learned her lesson when she decided to floor it past you.

It's not your job to "teach others a lesson", especially on public roads. If anything, it's just aggravating the situation and making it worse for everyone involved. If you have a tailgater, move to the right and let him/her pass you and be on your way, instead of trying to evade them.
