Toyota is a very big company with money to burn (F1 Program and GT1)...they could do anything they want. And I won't be surprised if one of these actual comes out.

Seen the Volta on Best Car Magazine for quite a while....as for the Crown AKA "Zero" Crown, I see it every single day in Japan. Crown pictured above is the Athlete Ver. of the Crown and has 18in. 2.5/3.0 V6. 3.0 V6 produces 256hps i think. IMO its gotten hell of alot better than the previous gen. since its predecessor was DEFINITELY the old-timer car. I think Toyota is trying to attract younger ppl.

The price is quite different to be competing with the TL, the cheapest one is about $32k, and the most expensive one is little above $50k.

Nevertheless, its still an old-timer car.

This year, Toyota Japan is planning on creating a "new" brand called Lexus following its sucess in the US. I think they are moving Celsior(LS), Aristo(GS), Soarer(SC), and etc. to the Lexus division. All of the car will be named like THE Lexus. So flagship of Toyota will not be Celsior and instead, it will be Crown Majesta.

ALSO, they are planning on building a pure sports car called 4500GT to celebrate its F1 debut....although not much luck winning the podium nor points(only few). I'm not sure but it
is said to be powered by 4.5 Liter V-10 and is designed by Pininfarina(is that how you spell it?). As some of you may know, Pininfarina designed several Ferraris including 360 Modena.

So those are few things about upcoming Toyota.

I do not like the Crown Concept. Looks way too plain and boring, like every other sedan on the road, and I guess it should, its a toyota. And who puts a V6 in a concept?

I dont know why they are calling it a Concept....i mean, its been out for over a 3 month in Japan! Wait, does that mean they are planning on selling it in US?

I am guessing the same way most folks do when they getthe door handles shaved off, there ahas the be a button somewhere on the car, either that or there is a remote, but my guess will be in the side fins, there is a button or switch.... just guesses...

2000GT featured a 149-horsepower, 2.0 liter, inline 6-cylinder, dual-overhead-cam (DOHC) engine. It was the first true attempt by any Japanese automaker to produce a supercar that could rival the cars of Porsche and Ferrari.
One sweet machine when it came out....
