Check out this Mini flipping into the crowd during a race.

They said only 3 people were hurt and no one was killed. Unbelievable.

Holy crap. Did she hit her brakes at all? Look like she was entering the turn at the same speed as the black one behind her.

Ouch!! Amazing that no one was killed.

Sidenote: This also gave me a flashback to my son's accident a few weeks ago in which he was a front seat passenger in an E60 M5 which -- while traveling way too fast -- ricocheted off two parked cars and a telephone pole before it TOO flipped over and then burst into flames.

One of his friends was driving the M (which was owned by another friend and pictured here, pre-accident of course) TOO FAST on a very residential street (read: 80mph+ in a 25 mph zone) when he -- predictably -- lost control of it, ricocheting (literally) off and totally two parked cars (one of which was an 09 MB S Class), after which it did a pirouette off a telephone pole before flipping over and ultimately (but not immediately) bursting into flames.

He suffered contusions and a fractured L1 vertebrae (which sounds A LOT worse than it really is) but, aside from some major soreness he's nearly recovered. Thank you for asking.

That was some serious deceleration though... amazing the driver was not injured! Even crazier about the Mini that flipped into the crowd. It seemed to miss a lot of people! If I was that driver, when I returned back to that track I would find the names of the people that got injured and have them as guests in my pit area + VIP access for the entire race weekend.

Speaking of the previous crash, the reporter says, ".... hundreds of spectators run for their lives .... "

First, in that specific area, there were, at best, dozens of spectators.

Second, I did not see a single person "run for their life". I did see some run TOWARD the crash site though, presumably to assist any injured.

I HATE the modern "news" media.
