One of club members has the record at the Mojave Mile...183.6mph....he is going for 200mph in this years competition.
I had mine to 130 before I shut it down when I first got it....just kept wanting to climb, and so very smooth.
Governor kicks in at 140. Those of us with tunes though

Perhaps the Chrysler is designed to ride a little "softer"...at least i know the 2012 is compared to the charger.
But I'm telling ya....get those chubby sways and lowering springs, WORLD of difference.

It's funny chrysler says auto's limited @ 175 (gear ratio redlining @ 6400rpm) and 6spds @ 183 but autos DO reach 185 with just predator 93 canned tune and raising speed limiter (also with predator)
btw, am I the first one to be surprised the challenger is 5-PASSENGER CAR?

Interesting at where it says it limited...I have always read 140 is the cut off for stock.

Top speed (drag limited, est.): 170 mph

no matter, the 370 and 392 are too expensive for anyhow. my next car will definately be a muscle car. im torn between a v6 mustang and 345 hemi challenger. i have a year to think about this. i know the 5at on the challenger is reliable and the ford tranny is not. a new 8-speed challenger coming out is nice but im doubting its reliability.

I have the 345 (5.7) modded and tuned and I love it. I have the 6spd...the 5AT are very reliable. I don't think there will be issues with the 8AT...but I won't ever own one of these cars in a automatic, so it makes no difference to me.

Yes...but you are forgetting the car in the vid is supercharged and tuned...very day to hit 190mph.

If that's the case the Ford auto tranny in the Mustang is pretty reliable. Good pricing too.
