Ok, after watching it again I guess the STi got blown away. I can't get enough of the sound of a Carrera GT. Cool vid

ok.. this is very sad. There is speculation and it seems just about confirmed that the owner of the CGT, "ben, lj" was killed today while driving his CGT at California Speedway, along with a passenger who was a prospective CGT buyer. Ben had been a longtime member of 6speedonline and other boards and this is a very very sad day for many. He was a frequent poster and very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to many. My deepest condolences to his family if this is indeed true - and I think it is turning out to be true.

Very sad

From what I remember reading, the CGT is a monster to drive and can be very hard to control

Ok - it was Ben LJ. Eyewitness reports say the accident was not Ben's fault (early speculation made it seem like it was) - the organizers of the event had chosen the entrance to the track to be right at the end of the straight (bad idea) - so he was driving ~165 mph on the straight when a Ferrari pulled out from the pits and into his way - he swerved to avoid it, lost control, and hit the wall. Passenger died on impact, driver was airlifted to the hospital with a pulse, where he later died.

The owner of the wrecked on was from So Cal.

I know his name was Ben because I read all
the threads about him over on 6speed.com.
