I think if he is a good driver he will own you. That car should run mid 13's.

Found these specs online, they sound about right.

1.8L 4 cyl 180hp 2002 Toyota Celica GTS- 0-60 7.3 - Quarter Mile 15.6 ... the 02 and 03's are the same I think.
3.2L 6 cyl 260hp 2003 Acura 3.2CL Type-S- 0-60 6.5 - Quarter Mile 14.9

I think he would get you off the line, but you should be able to run him down by the end!

Why should the GTS take him off the line? The CL has a lot more power than the GTS down low.

I've never seen a GTS that is all that fast and there are usually quite a few at the track.

no way! my friend also has a celica GTS. he has intake, headers, exhausts, hi-flow cat, and a short shifter..

i have a 99TL with intake, header, exhaust, pulley, etc.. i keep up with type-S's pretty well too. the GTS cant even get close to me at all. he has a good start off the line, but once im in second gear my car just flies right by.

Uh... but a 75 shot is no joke. Whoever comes off the line first is basically going to depend on how badly the GTS guy wants it. If he drops at anything less than 3500rpms, I think your cl should beat him at the start. You should pull on him until about 3rd, when he'll probably start spraying on your ass. To be honest, I dont like your odds against a car that light spraying a 75 shot.

Haha, totally missed that. Well, in that case. I'm willing to put my money on the CL-S, unless that celica drives his arse off.

The GTS is a light car, with his mods and if he knows how to drive you could be in trouble.
