I don't care what magazines say about the looks, it's personal preference. Like everyone says, you can't compare the quality of a Porsche to a Jeep. If that was the case, we'd all be driving LS1 Camaros with bolt ons, and noone would ever buy a Ferrari.

A completely tuned and boosted Camaro could beat a stock Ferrari in a drag, but who the hell is going to say it's a better car?

My ass you have. The state of WA alone, just so you know, only got 9 SRT8's, I will tell you this, the dealerships will NOT under any circumstance let them go for test drives, unless you are officially buying it. My dad couldn't even drive it until he bought it basically. So I know for a FACT, you have not driven an SRT8, nice try though. I know quite a bit about automobiles.

One of my dads best friends has had one for about 3 months now (he even gave it to my dad for 4-5 days to drive around and see if he liked it), and that is ultimately what made us put a deposit down on one, but now that production of our car has been postponed for the 3rd time and the build date is now looking like late June early July.

You do know a lot about cars moron

BTW, the reason there aren't any in WA is because they are all comming to So Cal. BTW, also drove an Trailblazer SS.

BTW, I forgot to mention, the SRT-8 was "given" to him by chrysler if he'd use it in some TV show's he's producing. He's had a good relationship w/ them since he produced the show "Viper" back in the 90's when the Viper was first releasted.

1) You're a mod...and you just "warned" a Mega Mod...

2) Just because YOU'RE dealer in WA didn't Allow for test drives, doesn't mean no other dealer in the country will. So, that "arguement" is bunk.

Yeah but my dad paid below MSRP due to his connections in the jeep world. Everyone else is paying $5K-$10K over MSRP. Also know this, on Saturday in Seattle, a dealership ON THE SPOT offered my dad $55K for his SRT8. Because they are so scarce. Your dads friend had it for 3 months now huh funny they werent even released until about a month ago.

I was thinking the same thing...

And in all comparion the interior on the porsche is light years ahead of the jeepy. Not to mention ride quality and a few other things.

Well sure I cant speak for every dealership, but I also know this in many places out of WA state. It's the same as the Dodge Viper that most Dodge dealerships have one, and you cannot drive it unless you are dead serious about buying it. The jeep being so sought after and scarce, they will NOT let you take it out.

I don't care, everyone has opinion, I'm not here to argue. I am just standing by something I know is great. Aside from being all performance, it has many luxury features as well. The interior is fully loaded. Might want to check out my dads jeep site some time, some of you might learn something....www.wjjeeps.com

Most people are saying their dealers wont let them test drive any of the SRT vehicles...doesn't mean I didn't go to my local Dodge dealer and drive a Magnum SRT...because I did.

Like I said. Just because they arent doing it in WA doesn't mean anything.

And no one said the GC was crap...But you clearly thrashed the Porsche for no reason other then to "defend" the GC.

3/4 of the JEEP dealerships dont even have one for sale yet. I just think it's an amazing machine for the price is all I'm saying. I never said the Porsche sucked or was bad, I just think its overpriced and ugly.

What kind of connections in the Jeep world afford you the luxury of running a mid-90s style website that's purportedly supported by donations?

Ugly is subjective. People buy a Porsche because it's a better performance vehicle, end of story. There is more to a car than numbers. Ever driven a Porsche???

And you can't tell the difference between a German car and American???? Do you have a pulse? I've driven the pinnacle American sports cars. That would be the SRT10 Viper and Z06. While the ultimate performance is breathtaking, the feel of the car isn't right. Both couldn't hold a candle to a E46 M3 in terms of steering and braking feel, which ultimately leads to confidence in the vehicle. Every Porsche I've driven feels the same way. It's a harmony between the driver and car. No American car I've driven exhibited this. Just by reading your posts, I can tell you are a Jeep fanboy and are very opinionated.
