werd. They all look the fucking same

Ummm you can't compare a 944 to a 911

I do still like the 944, but its no 911

Supercars.

Yea, theyre nice to look at. But spending that kind of green (outright cost, plus the cost to maintain it, plus horrible depreciation) seems sort of ...wasteful.

At least to me it does. I like looking at them, but Id never want to own one.

The 5 series are fugly. And so is the M6 front bumper. In fact, if it werent for BMW's awesomeness and interior Id probably hate their whole lineup right now.

Based on looks alone:

Porsche 911 - They've looked the same since the late 70s and I'm sick of the design. The if it ain't broke argument ended after decade #3

BMW 1 Series - I can't figure out how anyone would pony up nearly $40K for this ugly vehicle

Bugatti Veyron - Yeah its over a million dollars but it really is ugly

Mercedes McLaren - It's a giant clown shoe for christ's sake

BMW 6 Series - That face. That face.

I agree with every point except for the 911

The timeless design is what I love about the 911. It was hot when it came out and

its still hot today with only slight variations.

I forgot to mention it earlier but yes the Veyron is at the top of my list. That car is soo badass I should want to sell my first born for it. However I think its uglier than a cavalier

Seeing them featured on the covers of C&D and R&T turns me off from buying the mags. Even if I could afford them, IMHO the Z06/ZR1 (and upcoming GT-R for 2+2 fans) seems to cover most supercar bases without costing as much as the average home.

+2 to the supercars. A friend has a Diablo and after 10K miles he had to replace the clutch at a cost of $10K. Not to mention the cost of putting gas in it. Same guy had a couple of Ferraris and won't buy another because in the year he owned his 360 it spent more time in the shop than his garage.

But, he does like to drive his cars not store them in a museum like a lot of collectors.

I happen to freaking love Porsches and especially Lotuses

Even though I know they're marked up a buttload from the factory already, I still want one, probably used though, and the older ones, like the 944 (pretty cheap nowadays), 993, 996 are beautiful and easily distinguishable to me.

It just makes you wonder, are that many people a bunch of rich snobs or are they really not able to resist the Porsche driving experience? I've yet to drive one, though I considered a 944 before.

I forgot about the GTR and STi.... the new GTR is amazing but I would never drive something that looks like that, R34, R33 or R32 in GTR spec with manual tranny for me. And the STi just looks like a WRX on steroids, which looks like an Impreza on steroids, which looks like a Camry on steroids.

IS-F too... beeep beeep beeeeeeeep

GTR- It can be japan's answer to the corvette but who the heck was asking that question anyways?

m3- Its too bad its turned into a fat car with a v8. I'd take one if given to me, but I'd much rather see them use the less-is-more strategy that the original e30 or even the 2002ti had.

Upcoming NSX- I'm so fed up with the hype and delays that anything less than a Honda Tie Fighter is going to disappoint me.

^^ hells yes. does anyone remember the full-size 80's Buick station wagon they dumped a GN-X motor into? It did 60 in 5.2 sec. Maybe I'll try finding the original article... it was a project by ASC/McLaren IIRC.

ps. in case you don''t know, the GN-X was a joint GM venture with ASC/McLaren.

I cannot stand Gallardo. I think in order to buy that car I would need to be doped up with estrogen pills for several months I think it's the sorriest excuse for a "super car" ever, especially a Lamborghini. You wouldn't hear anyone complain about a Miura not having "Lambo" doors, but that car is a fucking legend! The Gallardo is an ugly POS Audi.

And Lotuses (Loti?) make the hair on my neck stand up.

No Lambo's for me either. Amazing performance, but not enough CURVES.

I don't have any fondness for Rolls, Maybach, Bentley (except the Continental coupe) or current S-class Mercedes either. I liked the prior S-class, though.

M3 FTL!!!!! I would take a 335i over it in a heartbeat. Who's idea was it to make the M3 fat? BMW makes the best I6 engine in the world (and now the best I6-turbo engine) so why would I want a torqueless V8 instead? Plus, the styling is horrible (both fascias looking odd and out of place) and the interior is still terrible. The E46 was unique in comparison with the standard 330Ci with its wider track and exagerated fender flares. The new M3 just looks like a 335i with a bad body kit.

Other cars I have never liked include the RX-8, Z4, 6-series, all Mercedes, and the new Accord (including the fat-ass coupe.......what a ugly car!!!!).....

The 6 series from BMW...All Hummer variants (unless they are painted CARC green / OD, meaning a real one), and ALL SUV's....... If you are pulling a boat, and hauling 5 people and stuff, Ok, get a Suburban. Other than that, get a god damn car.......I am tired of the Stupid Useless Vehicle generation.....Bahhh

Also, no "go fast pickup trucks" and any truck like vehicle that is 2wd.... Useless....

lambos=angular ferrari=curves

All newer porches even for a car guy like me, make me look at the actual designation to figure out which one it is. They all have the same "shape".

I thought I was the only car enthusiast that could not tell one Porsche from another. Don't get me wrong, I think it is a pure design and I am glad that Porsche got away from all the other "mainstream" designs, such and the 944 and 928, but like mentioned earlier, seen one, seen em' all.

Call me crazy but I think the Caymen is the sweetest looking Porsche right now.

...so cars I should be in love with, but am not?......

I'm having a really hard time loving the G37. The interior is gorgeous. The exterior.... well, It's not as agressive as the G35, but I wouldn't kick it out of the bed.

TL Type S I think I should love this car, but seeing 10 a day kind of kills it for me

Corvette Bang for the buck, cures midlife crisis, sporty, fast as all get out, good 'ole American muscle. We should all be proud of a car Still doesn't do it for me.

I could go on, but....

btw, the Enzo is a work of art IMO.

I don't like the Enzo, Maybachs, Rolls Roys or Bently (gross), or even the K______'s (whoever makes the CCX). I have to admit, the 6 series is a beautiful car in my eyes. Um.....Aston Martins I really like just because they have a real classy look to them. They captivate me.
