Okay, I know what everyone is thinking. Everyone thinks that this thread is going to be about the Monte Carlo. Well, it is not. This thread is about the GTO.I am looking at the GTO now. The reason why I am interested in the GTO is because of its style. Yeah the horsepower is nice and everything but I just like the look of the GTO. I am looking at a GTO that is blue/black so GTO is on my mind right now. So I want to know what you guys think of the pontiac GTO ? and who knows maybe I will show up at an Acura meet w/ it and just support you guys.

yes! that's exactly what we were thinking of when you said "cars" as the title of the thread! we were thinking Monte Carlo and GTO's!

why gto anyways? pontiac cancelled it, brought it back, cancelled it, then upgraded it with the new model, and now for 2007 theyre gonna cancel it again.

there's no future for that car!

 

Actually I heard that they are going to get rid of it too but I also heard rumors that they will be bringing it back after a couple of years. Another car that is making a comeback is the toyota supra. I kinda like the supra and if it looks good when it comes back who knows maybe I will go with that. But the reason I like the GTO like I said before is it's style. Now yeah, I have to say the TL w/ the A-Spec package is pretty sweet and the TL is luxurious. But I personally like the GTO.

 

I think you should get a used RSX, non Type-S.

put the rest of the money in a high-yield fund, then in 10 years when you're ready for a high-hp car, get one.

 

See the thing is, is that I absolutely hate the RSX. Although I may be 17 I still don't mind having a GTO. I know there is people that say that I can't handle that car or it is too powerful and so on, but I don't like the car because of the 400 horsepower. Like I said before I like it because of its style. Although thanks for the suggestion about the RSX.

 

well, it doesn't have to be an RSX... just something like it.

 

yet another 17 year old kid who's parents are gonna buy him a 30k car...do you have any idea how much the insurance on a GTO will be for a 17 year old kid?

Pontiac hasn't made a GTO since the 70's. They brought it back in 2004 knowing it was only going to be a 3 year run
