Car under 25k
Car under 25k
I know i am gonna get alot of HOnda/Acura bias answers but what was some hot sedan under 25k out the door. My bro is 17 and my parents are looking for a car.
I am really blank and only thing I can think of is a 4cyl Mazda 6 and Accord...

off the top of my head i think of the following in that price range (new or slightly used) and in no particular order:
$25,000 and under 4 door:
--Acura TL (2004's most likely)
--Honda Accord
--Hyundai Sonata (newest design is nice IMHO...great warranty...good power for the $$)
--Honda Civic
i wish i had those choices when i was 17!!!!!!

my friend just got the 2007 toyota camry for 26k out the door, and his is a v6, so i'm sure u can talk them into getting a 4 banger for sub 25k.... other wise the subaru wrx is 25k, honda accord, besides that most decent 4 doors (guessing that you don't want compact) cost more...
I like my Matrix. I got the pretty base model with CD, Auto, Power everything for $12k + tax and tips (2005).
Unlike the Honda, there is no blind spot at all. You seat high and you can see all around the car without any problem. It drives very good too. and pretty fast.

sorry... I want to add more in my last post... but it was over 5mins...

But... the Matrix is very small... You can barely fit 4 people in the Matrix. Cargo space is very very good though.
But for the price and for the 1st car, it is the best car IMO.

I agree with some of the prior posts... Wow 25 grand on a first car... life is good... but all jealousy aside...
I would say, in no particular order, and so hotter than others... (it's gonna be a hellof a list):
- Corrola
- Yaris
- Matrix
- Camry (base)
- Xa
- Xb
- Civic
- Accord
- Fit
- Element
- Insight (base, if gas savings is hot to ya)
- Legacy 2.5i
- Impreza 2.5i
- Audi A3 (used)
- Versa
- Sentra
- Altima
- Rabbit
- GTI (base)
- Jetta
- Passat (base)
I could go on with some of the American stuff... but I'll let you decide as some would argue about their hottness as well as reliability (but the same could be said for others in my list...) anyway good luck... and I hope your bro appreciate's it...

Mazda 3... for the win.. especially the sport wagon. im surprised only one person has mentioned the 3 (and it was the MS).
That car is clearly hands down one of the best in its class (if not the best).

For $25K you can get a bunch of nice used sedans. Personally I think it's a lot, but it seems like your folks have some good cash.
I would look at:
2004 TL
2004-05 TSX
2005-06 Maxima
Brand New Altima
Brand New Mazda 6
2003-04 Infiniti G35
Subaru Impreza WRX
I'm sure there is a bunch more.
What have he looked at so far?

There are a lot of cars to be had for 25K. Brand new, your options will be a bit limited, but used, the possibilities are endless....
All of the ones that were on my mind were already said. You'd be able to find a lot more domestic cars for that price though.

The dealers around here are WAY over-stocked with the sedans...especially the AWD sedans (some have over 30 in stock), and the new redesigned 2007's are due out soon I believe, so I would imagine they are trying to get rid of them before the new ones come in...
