Well, work has kept me from doing a lot of searching this week, but I still found a few that I will take a look at tomorrow.
  • 2003 Platinum BlueE320 with 60k miles for $17k...the blue one in my first post
  • 2003 Gray E320 Sport with 78k miles for $15k...this one is gray
  • 2004 Black E320 (not sure if it's the Sport model) with 34k miles and "extended" warranty (I assume it's a CPO) for $18.5k

I also found a few others that are out of state:
  • 2003 White 540i Sport 6MT with 56k miles for $18.5k (does this price seem outrageously high?)
  • 2005 Silver E320 with 54k miles for $17k

My top choice would be the white 540i 6MT, but their asking price just seems too high for the car. The dealer isn't budging much either.

I really appreciate everyone's input, and like the idea of the 06-07 Accord 6MT; however, those are probably really hard to find in my area.

The 2006-2008 E-350 has a much nicer 6-cylinder than the E320, and IMO is better looking, esp. with the Sport package (in which MB front emblem is not a stand-up design).

The price for the 540i is high, but its a rare version of the car. Its the only year that they put the M package on that car from the factory, along with M parallel rims!

Also the miles are LOW. Try to get them to lower to about 17k and go from there.

Make sure the needed services have been done, check out bimmerfest or bimmerforums for more info on that car. I've had my 540i for almost a month now and I LOVE it. Awesome upgrade from my CLS.

Well, the white 540 is out. They wouldn't budge on the price.

I did find a E90 330 6MT with sport and premium package at the local BMW dealership. I picked it up tonight. Sorry, no pics yet. It's too dark, and I plan to give a good cleaning tomorrow morning. Don't expect pictures tomorrow though. I start drinking after church tomorrow and party until the Superbowl is over.

Thanks guys. I spent more than I anticipated, but it was a pretty good deal I couldn't pass up. I haven't driven it much, but I'm sure I'll have fun.

I'm still recovering so I haven't take any pics yet...sorry, hopefully sometime this week.

hahahaha nice pick up and I love how you said your going to start drinking right after church, that just doesn't sound good in the same sentence lmfao! nice pick up I'd like a BMW. I was going to purchase a 2001 330cI for $5,500.00 it had 72k miles I think or something like that it was rebuilt title but had check engine light on. My dad put a deposit but the dealer calls back later that night and said he sold it for sticker price ($7,000.00). I'm glad i didn't buy it I smell nothing but problems from it.

Now, scheduled maintenance will be more expensive, however, not too much more. Plus, that's when you spend the extra coin and buy CPO. Both of our Audi's included free maintenance up to 100k.

One thing I would say... I would not own a euro out of warranty. Then again there's few newer Japanese cars I'd own out of warranty.
you're right, but since several family members have owned a bimmer (740i), mercedes (S500), audi (A6), and infiniti (Q45), i guess i can say i've seen a lot of money being poored into maintenance and repairs. then again, i also saw these cars go over 100k in miles.
