Car Shipping

Hey guys,

I am very, very close to buying an EK9 Civic Hatch from California, complete with a B18C5 long block swap. The major problem is finding a cheap shipping solution. I have found options ranging from $800-$1,500. Can anybody recommend a good company that won't mishandle my car? Thanks

Mike

I agree... my brother in law just picked up an evo from Virginia, he's flying out there and then driving it back.. if do go this route, pick a bra for the road trip! I would also be nervous about having it shipped without inspecting it myself...

I need to deliver a car to a customer down to Florida (MB R350 ), at first I was going to truck it, but i'm considering driving it down for him, spending the weekend there and flying back. Wife isn't too thrilled, but hey, it's a weekend getaway that we both need very badly. If it happens, it might be in the next 2 weeks or so.

he claims 20-25 MPG highway at speeds of 60-80 MPH. I'm not quite sure if VTEC would do that

Well, when I sold my TL I shipped it from NC to California. I think he ended up paying about $750 or so using DAS Auto Shippers. I dropped it off at a local shop that was a DAS terminal, they inspected the whole car, documented any and all blemishes, gave me a copy and another copy went with the car. Took about a week and he got it no problems...

I bought my old CL-S from a guy in LA and had it shipped to San Antonio for $500 in 2001.

I also had a car shipped to Houston from Tampa for $500 in 2003.

I too love road trips, but anything over 4 hours is kinda hectic to me...
