I'd take the Diablo 6.0SE. Just looks way better than the other two. The Murcielago is menacing in its own right... but I like the look of the Diablo better.

Pit Stop?
Holy shit I just found a new desktop! That being said, I'd probably end up taking the Murcielago, since the Diablo is a harsh ride that you actually have to be "up to" driving, while the M is a laid back bull, but can rage when provoked.

damn so far the Diablo is being pwned by its big brother. I forgot about the harshities of the Diablo. But - I would get used to it. :P Fellas if you want a really fast car with a smooth ride, it's gonna have to be an AMG. Cars that handle well have taut suspensions and brittle ride quality just as a product of their function.

They drive like trucks and are not that reliable.
Lol........$200k+ MSRP for a 6.0, what a joke.

Its heart and soul.
Thankfully the Germans still couldn't figure out how to make a clutch last.

What did the Murcielago lose to the Diablo? Answer, it isn't missing shit.

Well, I always wondered how much the Audi engineeres actually got their fingers into it. I was under the impression that Lamborghini was still engineered and built by the same teams more or less. Just not 100%

Its missing something in looks. subjective i know.
Its missing character. Its become more stale and generic looking.
And based on the reviews I've seen it lacks the raw driving excitement of the Diablo.
Dont just look at the numbers.

Yet, the 996 blows the 993 out of the water performance wise....it is a much better automobile.
Looks are subjective as you said, but better is better.
My $ would go to the Murcielago, I think its emotional enough of a car.
If one passed any of you on the road, you would all shit your pants.

Hmmm did some digging and couldn't find any mention of how much influence Audi had over the Murcielago. I'm guessing they didn't just simply let the Italians design and sell the car they wanted since the comapny couldn't keep itself afloat. Changes were made I'm sure.
I think its lost something in the looks as well. The Countach and Diablo were my favorite cars growing up but the Mercy has just failed to capture that place in my heart for some reason.
BTW - an 2001 Diablo
Obtained from MT July, 2000
0-60: 3.4
Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 11.8
1/4 Speed: 121
I'd say thats well above average wouldn't you? I know the handling wasn't as good but still.

Responding with intensity is in my nature, not to mention I've told that I'm a little on the mean side sometimes.

Also the Diablo handled ok, but its an unpleasurable car to drive (I've driven a few over the years). They kind of remind me of the Viper GTS I had, very similar. Fun to drive, but after 45 minutes of driving it was enough.

Let me add though, the Diablo is much more of a reality car than the Murcielago happens to be.
You can pick up Diablo's reasonably, where the Murcielago is still very new.
That's good for the Diablo faithful.

An obnoxious car deserves an obnoxious color.
