I am going to sell my Acura CL in the near future to buy a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, but am wondering which one looks better aesthetically. I know that the Supra is obviously a better car because it's a Turbo rear wheel drive, but just humor me. Let's just say both cars were rear wheel drive and performed identically, had the same features, etc. Which one looks better? Please vote on the poll and tell me why!

1st, you arent even getting rid of your car for at least another year, 2nd we already know you WANT a supra, but to ask which one looks better is silly.
You already know the answer to that and all the other questions you had about the supra in the 10 other threads you talked about it...lol

how about you sell your car, then actually find a couple supras your interested in, then ask help to narrow them down to which one looks better that way...gl

Supras are played out. Everybody expects you to have 1000 hp and even if you do, it's not really that big of a deal. They also cost some serious money to make marginally faster than a lot of other marginally expensive performance cars these days. A buddy of mine has a 67mm single, stand alone, cams, etc on his Supra. Over 10k in mods. He also has one of the fastest pump gas traps/ET for his streetable framed turbo. He could not pull me with just an intake on the Z06. Of course on race fuel he would, but that's not his daily configuration....and for that matter, an 06 Z06 with an SC is around the same price as a well sorted single'd, late model supra and will stomp a mud hole in the supra in most performance measures other than straight line speed on a *track*....on the street, street tires, or pump fuel the Z06 is easily much faster.

Good luck finding a Supra that isn't beat the unholy fuck up and down. Maybe if it was like '05 or something that there were still a few old people willing to part with their mid-life crisis car.

 

You may want to re-read a few things there because I have stated that I'm selling the CL very soon, which I am. I will be driving my Volvo for a year until I pickup the new weekender.

The reason why I am asking for opinions is because I think both cars look almost equally as good as each other.

Wow for 44k you could get a good NSX

 

The funny thing about that one is that they made fewer than 30 of that color. Those are worth around $5,000 more than any other Supra.

Has anyone asked how a supposed '20yr old' can come up with the cash for a Supra these days come into play? Also why does the same person need a weekend car?

lol yea man plenty of ppl get handed shyt... but oh well they'll never appreciate it the same like the person who busts their ass for it.

oh and by the way i think the interior of the supra is hideous. the exterior of the car is way ahead of its time. and the interior(seats and dash) is just nasty looking. like the cl is light years ahead of it. if i got a supra it'd be gutted and made as fast as possible.

Going from the CLs to a 350Z I will say there is much positive to be said for a trunk & back seat.

supra by a mile. I still think the CL is an awesome looking car, but the supra just has a sportiness to it that the CL lacks. And a better engine/tranny/aftermarket/better resale/I can keep going

Don't buy a supra, it's dumb buy. I think it's laughable that people are willing to pay such a high premium for one although they're payed out, (F&F boyracer = not cool).

 

Whichever one is less common and has fewer miles.

Funny, a lot of Soldiers/Sailors/Airmen/Marines come over here and think they can pick up one of these hopped up Supra's and take them back to the US.... heh. I see too many of them.

And given the silver one that is linked is really clean, I'd still take that kind of coin and go get a lightly (ab)used CTS-V / Z06 / M3 or 5.
