And for 370Z fanboys...this is pretty disturbing....

You like your car, awesome. Stop beating the rest of us over the head with Corvette shit.
It was annoying when MSL82 did it with Hyundai and 1SickLex did it with Lexus. And it's still annoying by every person who did it before or since.

God there are some "haters" here....
Hopefully we can get back on topic with the interesting discussions in the article....

I would not mind them, there "haters" everywhere..
Whenever i tried telling them the CL-S or TL was no sports car, everyone jumped down on me saying the smoked mustangs and camaro's and G35's or even G37's.. This is a car forum let the guy love his car, he is not bashing anyone or there cars.. If you people are misrable with your life then keep it to yourself!

Dont get me wrong, I like the 370Z. Just like the Vette, I think it offers tremendous performace for the dollar (the 370Z probably the best performaance for 40K, the Vette the best for 60K) . However, claims that the 370Z is a better track car or is faster around the track than a Vette are just plain false. A 14 sec differece in times is an eternity. The Virginia Raceway allows for a good mix of evaluaing power, handling, and braking
And a used Vette is still cheaper than a 370Z ;-)
*Flamesuit on*
As long as you're willing to fix the broken sensors every 1000 miles.
The 370Z's auto rev maching is also pretty slick. It takes the fun out of rev-matching but definately is a neat piece of kit.

This topic could have easily been posted with a simple link and some general comments without calling out other brands or creating an argument by clearly posting how the C6 rules all.
This thread is on a fine line b/c it appears that you created it simply to start arguments instead of posting it for the info the link and data offers... so if it goes over that line, it will be locked instantly.
Maybe I missed it... but I don't see a single reply in this topic claiming anything about the 370z except for you instigating in your original post by posting that pic and calling out "Nissan fanboys"...

I got this issue in the mail yesterday! It was a very entertaining article to say the least. I drooled every time I saw the LP670 though
Regardless of what happened to the 370Z, it's a downright gorgeous car. Like any new redesigned model it will have some kinks that will need to get worked out, but that's almost expected.
I don't think the comparison between the Z and a Vette is fair though. There are enthusiasts from either side of the fight. Therefore I don't understand this "fanboys" shit
Even though the Vette was 14 seconds faster, to the average consumer who buys the Vette or the Z, do you think they care THAT much? Both are quick for their price segment and you get what you pay for. Do you think those 14 seconds would turn a buyer away from a Z and put them in a Vette? Doubt it.

The cayman is a remarkably rewarding car to drive, I would be VERY hard pressed to justify anything short of a 911 turbo over a CaymanS and I do love me some 911! There are so many great cars out there, it just boils down to what flavor of Baskin Robins do you feel like?

Back on topic, I have no doubt that Nissan corporate (as they typically do) will address the issue of the brakes.
Yea i was surprised with the lap time with the auto. Would have been nice to see the manual tested.

I understand where you are coming from, but you have to give some respect to Dodge for building such a machine - heck, even in today's economy, etc, Dodge is still coming out with a new track only car, the ACR-X.
Then next time, leave it in that thread. If there is already a discussion about it, no need to create a new one to bring the same argument into two different threads...
