Car broken into!!!

My fiancee had her car broken into last night. They pried the lock right out of the passenger door. They stole my gps and her cd player... Anyways my question is that when I go to turn the key in it the alarm goes off. How do I shut that off?

I'd call the dealer service department on that one.

I pulled the battery cables off, maybe resetting the system will work?

My real issue is that I cant drive my TL right now and now I cant get my stratus to run without the alarm going off. I just need it to run, I dont even care about the stolen stuff.

I'm not sure if it's the case with dodge, but a lot of the factory alarms can be reset by turning the key from off to on (w/out starting the engine though) quickly (5-10 times in a row). This will shut off the alarm and allow you to start the car. That's how my Subaru was, but I'm not sure if it'll work with your car, but it might be worth a try though.

btw, sorry about your loss...theives suck!!

Sorry to hear about your fiance's car. That is b.s. I am glad I have a garage to park in and secure parking at work.

Usually put the key to the "On" position will reset the alarm.

Some cars you can stick the key in the driver door and manually unlock the door, and it will deactivate the Factory alarm.
