Can Urethane flexible bumpers get fixed?

I have a hole on my rear Acura TL bumper and rather than just getting a new bumper, I like to find out if there is a way to patch it where it won't crack if it flexes?

depends on where, but yes it is possible. Why dont you want to get a new one. In many cases teh labor involved repairing something like that would be more that just replacing.

yes, it's probably fixable (depending on the location). The bodyshop can probably fill the hole with an apoxy (sp?) of some sort.

Yep, it can be fixed. But they are going to want to remove the bumper cover and repaint, so you're looking at around $300 plus for remove/repair/repaint/replace...

I think if I bought a new bumper ($300) + paint ($300 est.) I would probably be looking at $600 plus...

Regardless it's going to need to be painted/removed/installed, so take the $300 out of the equiation and just focus on the $300 for new bumper.

It'll take them at least 2-3 hours to fix the old bumper. Which will be close to $200.

Your not saving much, i'd spend the extra $100 on a new bumper cover. I'd have a better piece of mind you will not run into problems down the road as well...
