Can anyone recommend a really good auto sun shade?

Hi all,

I recently moved to Arizona and have a black on black TSX. While this was just peachy in Wisconsin where I'm from, this is going to blow at the end of this week when it's 102 degrees.

I need a sun shade! Not just any crappy wal-mart sun shade but a really good one that actually works. Anyone have a brand/website for awesome sun shades or any general "keeping my car from feeling like the 7th layer of hell" advice!?

I purchased mine from an Acura dealer but found a website that offers the same brand. It is "Autoanything.com" and the brand is Intro-tech Automotive. It was for my 04 TL and is custom fitted and really thick for heat blocking. I have had it for 2 years and am really impressed. Another car I own needs one, so I plan on buying the same brand. Some things you should know are that it rolls up, is rather large, somewhat pricey but worth those compromises. I deal with that website frequently and they offer good discounts and service along with other sun shades if you want something else. Happy hunting!

I haven't had mine for that long but it's great quality. With the windows cracked a bit and the sun shade in place, the only thing that will really feel hot is the seatbelt buckle. Even in 90+ weather.

They have a lifetime warranty too. Call ahead and see if you can get a dealer to match the price online, that way if you have any issues it'll be easier to resolve.

I got this one. It's the easiest sun shade to fold up and put up. I hate those roll-up and collapsing-disc ones now.

Covercraft! It has a rigid cardboard core so it doesn't bend or sag. One side has UV reflective material while the other is soft grey cloth. I bought the same one for my dad's G35x.

I've had mine for over 3 years now and have no complaints whatsoever. It's easily the best $40 I've spent on my car yet.

I bought one for my wife's '09 Civic from the dealer that I believe was Covercraft or exactly like it. Definitely worth $40.

Does supporting the sunshade with the vanity mirrors damage the mirror hinges? I never put down the mirrors to support my sunshade.

It would have to be a really heavy sunshade. So probably not.

Not the most portable and coverage varies by time of day, but they're fairly affordable.
