Finally rolled 400,000 miles!
Hello Acura guys/gals,
I finally rolled the big 400k this last week. I know this is the TL section but wanted to share this milestone in my 2005 TSX with you. I took my TSX into the dealer to have them give it a thorough once over to see how she's been holding up. They came back with a laundry list of stuff. I have everything up on my blog for anyone who cares to check it out when you have the time. Let me know what you think.

Josh - too bad this post got moved, but I guess it was considered too off-topic. I checked out your blog and wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying it. The tourist bureau of Idaho should be putting you on their payroll.
Haha, I might just look into that! glad you're enjoying it. & thanks!
Thats quite a mission and well done blog.
I'd be curious for you to total up ALL of your maintenance over the 400k miles and compare it to the cost of getting a new car.
Oh...my one BIG complaint...SPOILER ALERT....Im not caught up on Game of Thrones and you fucking ruined a major plot point...thanks for that.

sorry about that...and you're not the first one to wonder about the total cost of maintenance to date. sometime soon i'll have to go thru it all and figure it out and post the results. but remember, you still have to maintain a new car too.

maybe not. was just stoked about hitting this milestone & wanted to share with everyone and didnt know how else to do it. I'm still kinda new to the forums and didnt know how else to get it out there for everyone to see it.
I think it's generally more cost effective to keep the old car, to a certain reasonable extent.
Running some rough hypothetical but probable numbers, say a new TSX is $35k and he would get $10k trading in his old TSX with 200,000 miles. With those numbers he'd be paying $25k for this brand new TSX.
Outside of routine maintenance, did unexpected repairs for his old TSX from 200,000-400,000 miles exceed $25k? If so, then he'd have saved money to get a new car. If not, then it was more cost effective to keep the TSX.

It is interesting to see a relatively new Acura reach that mileage and what it requires maintenance wise. Great blog.
