22"s, 26"s, whatever.

It's just not worth the decreased gas mileage, slower acceleration, longer braking distance, more weight and strain on the suspension, harsher ride, increased risk of bending or cracking the wheels (on average, 1000 to 1500 pounds of dead weight on each wheel wrapped in low profile tires... are you kidding me?

All for what? So you can roll around looking like a gangster? Big wheels on SUVs are the stupidest thing ever. But whatever... to each his own.

What will the dealer do with these used rims and tires though?
Sell them as new I am sure.
When I leased my 95 Accord they screwed up the lease in my favor. They caught it a couple days later. It was around $500 or $600 if I remeber right. They screwed up the paper work several times and I happened to notice it right after I left the dealer but, was pretty pissed at them for not being able to do simple paper work.
The Monday after (I picked the car up on Sat) I get a call and they want me to come in a sign a new lease. I get there and its still wrong but, in THEIR favor now.
I had the original quote with me. They said they couldn't do it for that price. I said well then I will just keep the deal we both signed. He said well we didn't submit it yet. I said either honor it or shove the car. The car was already registered (by them) in my name so they couldn't sell it as new.
The manager was like you would walk out over 500. It was more since not only did they want to take the 500 or 600 back they wanted even more on top of the original deal.
I was like you made me come back over the 500 why don't you eat it. Ended up with the original deal that he said he couldn't do.
If I had it to do over I would have consulted a lawyer to see if I was entitled to the better deal.
I then took the car for its first service and paid too much. Yes my fault for not check the cost of the service price.
That was the last time I ever walked into that dealership. I bought a 2000 Accord at a different dealer.

what makes you think she has the "option" of keeping them? if she attempts to im sure they will sue her in civil court. just because they made a mistake, does not mean they lose their right to their property. also to the person who said a dealership is a company, no dealerships are usually privately owned. Its not like its owned by GM

My V actually had chromed stock wheels on it when it was delivered when I only wanted the normal painted stockers. They said they had to order some normal ones and that they'd call me when they arrived. In the meantime I got to use the chromed wheels. Well, over a month later and they still hadn't called so I called them up to remind them I still had their wheels. They had forgotten and I could have walked away with the $700 upgrade. I didn't and I would have felt bad had I done so.
BTW, you're hurting the owner of the dealership if you're screwing them for the $3800 - not Cadillac.
