Cadillac

For Your Informaton, There is a $10,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive on the 2004 Cadillac SRX. The dealer in my hometown is offering a 50,000 SRX with the Northstar V-8 for 34,000.

Maybe my wife will trade her 2002 Highlander. Haven't been down there to see what her car is worth. But the SRX is very sharp and powerful. Obviously, it's not selling well.
I still like my 2001 CL-S with 37,000 miles. After driving the SRX I felt like my $30,000 4 1/2 year old CL-S was not outclassed at all.

I agree that it is a nice car, but yeah, definitely not selling well. Good luck with trying to get the wife to trade in for one.

Yes it does. But with the 10,000 incentive, the dealer is actually getting about 44,000 for the car and it is a 2004 and a year old. I suspect it wouldn't be worth as much as a 2005 Highlander Limited fully loaded for $34,0000 when you drive it off the lot. But you will be driving a new caddy with a northstar on the cheap.
Boy I would be one mad customer if bought one in December for 46,000.

No, but i saw the price in our local paper in Jonesboro, AR. check out your big city Chicago newspapers.I would call a dealer and say you saw them going for 16,500 under sticker in AR. and ask them would they beat it if you're a wheeler dealer. Mention the 10,000 incentive also.

Memphis Cadillac took another 600 off. It's now down to 33,500 fot the 2004 SRX Northstar that lists for 50,000+. I suspect a check for 33,000 will buy the car. That's 17,000+ under list. If they give me 23,000 for the Highlander, which is a little more than Edmunds tradein value. I could get it for 10,000 difference.

It will last until the 2004's are gone. Memphis area ahs at leat 30-40 left. BTW, they low-balled my trade-in on my [$34,000 (new)] 2002 Highlander Limited with 27000 miles. I figured they would offer around 20,000. But they were like 17,000.

Well, I pulled the trigger. Somehow I got the local dealer to offer me 23,100 for the 2002 Highlander Limited that listed for 34,000 in 2002 with 25,000 miles. They discounted the new 2004 SRX with all the incentives almost 16,500 (listed for 50,600) so I only had to pay 11,000 difference. Sounds too good to be true. The big city dealer (memphis) only offered me 17,000 for the Highlander. Great Northstar engine (same one as in their new 75,000 sportcar), 4 wheel drive, very cool. Still love my CL-S- Caddy is the wife's.

No just the Northstar V-8; 4 wheel drive; and the bose premium radio= 50,600 sticker. The Northstar V-8 package is much higher than the base V6. More features, The navi doen't interest me but the xeon would been nice although the Caddy has good headlights and actually illuminate like the xeons from my route last night. Basically, the price was too good to not move up.
