C7 vs GT-R 70mph-100mph

I was driving on the interstate today in my lowly Kia when I noticed both a C7 and a GT-R cruising down the highway in my vicinity. It didn't take too long before the two of them spotted each other and they began having a little fun. They ran a couple 70 to 100mph sprints racing side by side. I was surprised that one of the vehicle was able to pull so hard on the other. It wasn't even close both times. They gave each other thumbs up and went back to regular cruising speed.

I'm curious if the crowd here at Cartalk can properly guess which car won the races.

C7... Z06? or regular C7?

and are you sure it was not close because you are probably far far behind when they hit 100.

the race probably only lasted 3 secs.... boring

Well apparently no one actually cares much. Lol. But the GT-R complete blew away the C7. And of course it was only 3 seconds.

The C7 was definitely stock. The GT-R had a beautiful sounding exhaust. Is that stock?

I was going to guess the C7 because I think everyone would assume the GT-R would win. So I thought the thread would be a surprise.

Guess not!

Hence the funny responses.

How did you know they ran 70-100mph without keeping up with them?

what he said.

While GT-R is stupidly fast from deadstop and in the corners, it is just average from a roll. M5/M6 are actually faster from rolling start than a stock GTR.

But it is still 100+HP more than the C7..... you just can't easily make up that difference.

Neither because you called the police and they stopped these idiots from potentially injuring or killing someone?

If the C7 was a Z06, then I am sure the Z06 would have edged past the GT-R. Base C7... sounds about right.
The exhaust tone on the GT-R is not bad for being a V6TT. It's not as throaty or deep as a V8. If it sounded pretty damn good, chances are there might have been some aftermarket goodies.
