C6 Z06 wreck - video report

Apparently a reporter had the car.

He took off after a refuel, and spun the car... flipped over and landed on top against a trailer...

Translation ,

You've just taken some gas with a brandnew Corvette Z06 and 200 meters further be landing on your roof .
That happened with a driver on his way to a fotoshoot in Berlin , not a fotoshoot of himself but of the Corvette .
Its a Corvette Z06 with a 7 liter engine that goes from 0 to 100 kilometers an hour ( 60 ) in 3.9 seconds .The car costs about 120 000 euro .
Its a miracle nobody has been hurt , the police is investigating the accident .
hopefully this doesn't become a common occurrence.... so much hp in the hands of common people... can be a bad thing sometimes. drive safe ppl.

bad link

that's a damn shame. I guess it goes w/ the territory when you have a car that can get sideways at any speed.

Assuming that the "reporter" was an auto publication reporter, you think he would have had a little experience behind the wheel of a high hp car...

Car with the most HP I ever driven was a detuned (but actual) NASCAR stocker at 500 HP. Car with the most HP I've ever riden in: just over 600 HP.. a 1969 Camaro that was sold to a neighbor of mine after having been detuned a little for street use (from drag racing).

It's not the HP or the torque, it's the driver behind the wheel. Some of them get carried away and forget what can happen when you uncork some really serious power. The day I drove the NASCAR stocker (just this past June at Richmond International Raceway), the group that went out just before our group had a fellow who wrecked pretty badly early on in his run.

I also drove a panasonic montecarlo at pocono, it was a blast, but you get a realrespect for the guys that drive them around the track at 180+

We were told we were going anywhere from 150- 165, dont know how true that is

Even though the NASCAR race car I drove at Richmond International had 500 HP, I have to say that my 1966 396/360 HP L34 Chevelle felt quicker.. that is after a few bolt-ons that took it to around 410 HP. The reason is due to the rear ends. The stocker most likely had a high rear end.. perhaps in the 2's. My Chevelle had a 3.73 rear.
