My girl friend, her cousin, and I went to the SF last weekend; of course, we took my girl's new ride C55 AMG.. While I was going long.. long ass straight road of 5 freeway... the car reached about 1600 miles, so everybody was bored and all.. we agreed to open the car up a little bit... For the first time, I punched the car.. and the car was keep on pulling harder and harder..... in a matter of seconds the car reached 145 MPH so easily... Even at the speed, the car was so....... stable, I was very surprised..

I was just curious that if the car does not have the governer limit thingy(?), what would be the top speed for that car? because at 145 MPH, the car felt like it wanted more and more...

BTW, the car makes approximately 370 horses and 380 torque.

On the way home, I raced a 05 M3 on the same straight way, and I was surprised that I won pretty badly.. I thought the M3 is a bit more faster.

 

I would guess that the C55 would top out in the 160's.

Also, the limiter should be set at 155mph, so you could have gone faster

 

C55 is a V8, M3 is a V6

2005 C55 = 13.3 @ 109, 362hp, 376 torque, 3540 lbs

2005 M3 = 13.3 @ 104-105, 333hp, 262 torque, 3415 lbs

Just some general numbers. As you can see, the C55 is a good bit faster than the M3 - but both run about the same E.T's, most likely because the M3's tranny options are better - just a guess. But the trap speed definitely shows the difference in power and torque. You will definitely pull on an M3 at highway speeds, especially at triple-digit speeds. good kill.

She wanted a white one, but the dealer said that there are not any White AMGs.. However, the guy said that he could order a White C55 AMG from Germany.. (I thought he was bullshitting.. Don't know.)

 

wow.... I've seen more than a few white C55's..... in fact, a friend has one. go figure.

but, come to think of it, I don't think I've seen any of the other AMG models in white..... only the C55......

There aren't any "color restrictions" on AMGs, most people usually just get silver or black because they're too pussy to be original. It's simply a matter of ordering it.
