C&D cover....350Z
The G35C might be a few ticks slower, but it should be under 6sec to 60.....cool stuff, especially with all the Nismo shit that will become available.
But, of course you're probably all interested in reading about Austin Power's pimpmobile

That's such a sweet, sweet car. I wonder what kind of demand it is going to see when it launches. I know people have been packing onto waitlists now for months.
One thing is for sure though: high demand = dealer markup. Maybe not all of them, but I bet quite a few greedy dealers will try to sell them a couple grand over retail.

Well, the issue with any somewhat high volume car....is that you eventually see "lots" of them (obviously). This is the price you pay for driving a $30k car.
Its not easy being exclusive these days.
The G35C/350Z will be talked about for some time, especially if the aftermarket is big.....which I'm sure it will be.

I'm just happy my sister's fiance is a nissan/infinity fleet manager. They get new cars every 9-12 months. I think its about time I got in that rotation.
As we all know... its not what you know...

Have they mentioned what the allocation will be for the year? I'm wondering if Nissan is going to build as many as they can sell or build a set amount and try ride the craze wave.
What was the deal when the Miata came out. I know that had some crazy markups originally. Will this situation be different?

It's so true. <sniff> In the last month I've seen probably less than 10 CL-S's driving around on my daily commute. This is generally I-495 and Route 3 of Massachusetts in case any local-folkels care.
Anyway, here I am thinking I'm all cool at my apartment complex because I'm unique and what does someone two buildings down do...? Buys the exact same 2003 Satin Silver CLS except with the spoiler. Apparently someone thought my car was so cool that they had to get one for themselves.
I'll have to meet the person now, of course, and swap manly stories about our cars.

Dunno. I haven't gotten mine either yet. Maybe it has to do with the way that they ship them out, so that they end up getting to some people sooner than others.

Didn't Infiniti give fast 0-60 times for the Q45 (like 5.9) that nobody could duplicate?
I'll wait to see the road test for an actual production car. Hopefully Nissan will make the mark (5.4).
For a 27000 import, you can't come close.

C&D is generally good with their figures, sometimes a bit off though....with that, I suspect seeing numbers on the Z ranging from 5.4-5.7sec (not much worse though)- depending on the publication.

Hmmm....
Zero to Sixty in 5.4 seconds.
I'd guess that is going to equate to a 1/4 mile time of 13.9 @ 101 mph.
And I believe that would make this 350Z slightly quicker than the old 300ZX TT.

Read the cover. It clearly states that they have already performed their "FIRST TEST" of the 350Z and have done 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. This is not a Nissan estimate, it is a number that C&D claims.

So what the hell is that supposed to mean? The C&D article IS a road test for an actual production car. And they got 5.4 second for the 0-60 test.
So what "mark" was it that you hoped Nissan would make then?

No definite answer, but I've heard (from a very good source) that the final HP rating will be 287. You heard it here first
Now that the Car and Driver article is out it is confirmed! I was right!

Before their "first test", you'll only see estimated performance numbers, or manufacturer performance numbers.
