Brand new 2005 NSX @ eBay

Even though I like NSX a lot, the current model is going nowhere.

you know i was looking at that the other day when i was fantasizing about a 1999 or 2002 NSX. The more I look at the interior, the more disappointment I get. What gives? Updating an interior shouldn't be that hard.

Yeah, especially for a car this price. The imprinted A C U R A on the steering wheel is sooo 90s.

When you only sell something like 30 units a year, you can't afford to sink much money into things like redoing the interior. The NSX is a legend but it's certainly not making any money for Honda. It needs a complete remake from the ground up and not just little patches here and there.

nobody is arguing that. I say, get this whole SH-AWD, IMA, and F1 thing settled and in a year or 2, get started on a new NSX and S2000 replacement (how about an s2400, s3200, or s3500?). I want to be able to buy a Honda sports car when I get older, come on, don't Toyota yourselves .

Nope not just you. There's a thread over at ATL that shows the NSX (the older model, with the flip headlights) posing next to a new Corvette...the NSX was hiding its 14 years quite well.

The NSX will always be a great car.. until the next model NSX comes out (if it ever does). Hopefully the pricing will be a little lower and they'll also bust out the Type-R. That'll be something to look forward to getting rich for.

That brings to mind another question...has anyone on here bought a vehicle through Ebay? I'd definitely look into buying through Ebay the next time I'm ready...if you can travel to see the vehicle before bidding, I'd say it's definitely a great way to buy a used vehicle

I believe if you are buying the eBayed car from a dealer then you will have to pay tax since they will report the sale and you'll transact money through their financial services. However if you buy a car from an individual user... you don't have to pay taxes. You have to report it, but there are many loopholes to avoid paying taxes on the car.

I was really looking at buying a car from eBay. I didn't because when I was looking at an s2000 or TSX they had no used TSX's on eBay yet. But I would definately want to see the car before I buy it. Make sure they are within driving distance that's worth it to you and check it out yourself.

eBay is the greatest creation to spawn from the internet.

That ad is hilarious.

And as for the NSX, I still like it. If I had the money to burn, I'd be all over getting one. Plus, it'll last forever.

The car is aging no doubt...but the lines are just timeless. The interior while dated...is top notch. 02 in Silver/Onyx, Red/Onyx or Black/Onyx below $60k with less than 15K miles Im on it.

Don't hold your breath, the S2000 and NSX will be discontinued soon.

Is this official? I read a year or two ago they were considering bringing the s1000 to the states to compete with the Miata.

I know it's old. But what do you mean it's not real?

I have bought a car from ebay. I bought the car out of state and did not pay the dealer the sales tax, but I did have to pay taxes on it when I regestered it. You can lie about the purchase price I guess, but since it was bought by a dealer they needed the purchase order to regester it.
