i disagree with the notion of calling it a massive sales failure.

1. it's not like they built and planned on selling a lot of them in the first place. and as mentioned, it's not like car sales numbers are impressive over the board.

2. it's a niche car with a love it or hate it design.

3. it's useless, sure. but again, it's a niche car.

4. it's a small sampe, but i've been seeing many of these in the houston area.

personally, i love the car. but if i had the money, i'd prefer the X5 because of its usefulness.

 

Drove this last week. Sloping small rear windshield, good thing this has a rear view camera when driving in reverse.

But I still think they are kind of cool. I give props to BMW for making it. It's definitely different, and I know a lot of people don't like it.

I'm guessing it's a combination of the economy as well as the hit/miss factor of whether or not people accept the new vehicle. Love it or hate it. I doubt there are many that are in between.

personally, i think the X6 is quite the looker.

omg this thing looks like a...i don't even know what or how to describe it from the pic above. it's just a monstrosity. no offense to anyone like likes it but it looks like a turd in a hamburger bun roller skate.

i haven't seen 1 anywhere around la yet.

 

I live in brooklyn and seen 2 of them.

 

Saw one on the road one time and thought it was a lifted 6 series from the rear.
