what's the first thing you do to an E60 M5? NAWS, of course.

That's crazy. My friends z28 runs the best of 11.6 with a 150 shot direct port, and some Nitto 555's. The rest of the car is bone stock. The M should run better than that. On a side note, that M's MPH is sick, i forget the z's, but it's not that high. I guess th drag radials and auto help him off the line.

Europe gets a much higher RPM launch control (at least on the M3). The M3 is only 1800 rpm stock, which is darn near bogging range, for reference I launch my M3 at 4500 with no whel hop and just a chirp of the (stock) tires. If the LC allowed a 4000+ RPM launch the SMG would be just as fast as a three pedal car but the clutch would last about 12-15 launches max.

Yep, can't blame them though with the straight line happy Americans! It really cripples a car that has a power band from 3500-8000. It takes a decent amount of bolt ons to get a SMG M3 into the 12s, where as a stock 3 pedal M3 with an excellent driver is capable of 12.8s, and at least one 12.7 has been recorded stock.
Don't ya just love stall converters! I had a 5300 flash stall converter on my 67 Mustang back in the day, then moved up to a Lenco tranny, nothing like the intimidation factor of an octopus sticking out of the tranny tunnel!
