BMW M3 Plowed Into House By Idiot Teen Driver

When parents like you buy cars like M3s for your kids, things like this happen — they pile a couple of guys in the car, then take it out for high-speed foolishness. You do not have to one-up your idiot neighbors. In fact, do not buy your son a car at all. If you do, buy him a clapped-out 80's-era Volvo. We know you think your son deserves all the best, but he also doesn't deserve to turn into that idiot teen who gets ridiculed on the internet for crashing expensive BMW's into peoples houses — or for ramping off the end of a runway berm, killing everyone in the car.

a kid in a 3 series killed himself and a passanger rolling the car into a house at high speed around the corner from my house a couple months ago

I agree that a fast car and a teenager isn't a winning formula. But I still maintain that any car can be deadly if driven wrecklessly. My parents neighbour's sib has been driving their E46 M3 and Corvette since he was sixteen. I've let my 17, now 18 y/o nephew drive my 335i and M5 multiple times. I know to manym it's a bad recipe and a foolish thing to do but I believe in good driver's education. I've seen him drive alone multiple times and he seemed responsible enough. So no, not all teenagers are fast and furious with high-powered automobiles.

I always wonder what's the first thought in your head during those couple seconds starting from when you lose control, then when the car is flying through the air, and then when it finally rests wherever the hell it landed.

FYI Jalopnik is not a news site. Them like gizmodo and the rest of the gawker media family are technically considered blogs and therefore can say whatever they want and journalistic integrity need not apply. It's good cause they can make you laugh but also bad cause they can be fanyboys (especially gizmodo) and let certain companies slide with total bullshit but harass others endlessly over petty little things. Unfortunately it seems that blogs make one day replace journalistic media and integrity as we know it and will be come like politicians and you won't be able to believe anything you read cause it will be twisted like a politician would.
