Ok, well a descent 330 is like $41k...a nice M3 is like $50k (add $5k for a market adjustment, for shits and giggles)- your at $55k......to avoid any warranty issues, I would only get a Dinan Super charger- the unit is like $6k or so, the warranty is $2k, and installation is at least $1k, then add tax.

So lets say you get that 330 for $39k add the $9-$10k for the Dinan equipment...your at $48-$49k, the M3 just cost you $55k- they aren't so far apart after all

I agree with Beltfed. There aren't too many engine mods out yet for the 330 and doing what you suggest to a brand new car is only going to put you in warranty hell. Tell your dad if he's going to all that trouble, and extra $$, on a 330 then by an M3, he'll be a lot happier.

Now for your question. In addition to Bimmer.org, try E46Fanatics and BMW330Ci.com

Good luck!

Duh! I didn't read his post carefully enough. Well in that case, forget what I said . Good luck with the SC 330i.

The websites are still good for info on mods.

http://www.e46fanatics.com is a good forum if you're interested in modding your car.

How long can your parents hold off....if you can wait for the 02's to hit, I think you will see more become available for immediate delivery- they will certainly be over MSRP, but I believe you will be able to find a few for $5k over or so.

I know dealers have lists for people paying MSRP (long ones at that)- but there are always cars for people willing to pay a premium.

If you start making some calls, you might be surprised as to what you might find- give some distant dealers a try also.

Ok, the 2002's should be out in a month or so.....hopefully you can hold out a bit, I'm fairly certain you will be able to find a car without a $10k markup.
