BIGGG decision

ok, i will be going to college soon, and of course i need money.

i have an 04 3G TL, like 57k miles on it.

in terms of quality and performance, should i sell it and get a 2G TL-S. i can find one for a good price. because i ahve already.

keep it, you will lose money selling it and replacing the tranny on your 2G TL-S when that goes...

You've already got 57k. After selling your 3rd gen, you wouldnt really make that much profit. Not enought o justify it at least. 100k miles on your 2nd gen TL-S, and your tranny will cost you dearly. I just hit 100k on mine, and i'm about to part ways with it. Now, you also have to worry about the fact that its 7 years/100k miles. So in a couple years, you're still screwed. Keep your TL drive it til it croaks, and just get a couple of part time jobs over the summer. I did a research project with a $5000 stipend and then worked at the movie theater too. You'd be surprised at how long it lasts you in college

Makes no sense to me to do that. I can't imagine you'll really be getting that much money in your pocket making this move.

I'd keep the car you have now and just work more hours to put more money away...
