BEST place to get new/used auto loans at the LOWEST rates?
#2
1.99 thats a good rate - 3.^^ 4% the best way to get a good auto rate is through the relationship of your bank if you have good standings with them and you alredy have established credit you will end up with a great rate vs just going to a dealer and try getting a rate they will get a different bank from yours and add their interset rate percentage so the rate will be higher than what you actually deserve.

With a credit score above 720, you should be able to find a good rate. Best rates (if buying new) are found while financing with the direct auto lender (example: Honda Financial Services). Also, check with your bank regarding used rates. Chase, for example, gives you a rate discount if you have a checking account and another rate discount if you set up auto payments. Credit Unions are also known to provide good rates, but if and only if your credit is golden. Goodluck!

Definitely. Always consider this: Higher Risk (used, high mileage, bad credit, etc) to the Lender = Higher Rate to the Buyer. It is also much more likely for a buyer that falls into this category to default on the loan, in which the lender will make much more money on its investment. It's all business.

I have always done well with my local credit union. I got an e-mail this week from them offering 1.99%. Here is a link if anyone is local - https://www.sharoncu.com/rates-resou...loans.htm#auto

2 percent APR.....
....What are ya considering to buy ? "New or Used" ????
If ya have a stellar credit score along with the means to support loan payments, the best sources are your local bank, credit union or even the new car special incentive based loans from the manufacturer's lending co.
Used, well ya really gotta shop and pray for a good deal on a car loan.

Like others have said, go w/ penfed. Their customer service hours is far more flexible for those of us working normal business hours. Their rates are some of the lowest I've seen (i.e. they had 0.74% up to 60mo's on used cars up until a few weeks ago).
If you're a civilian, you'll just need to donate $10/yr to a join. It's going towards a good cause and they have some great products.

I've had a long relationship with my credit union, but they couldn't get me the best rate out there.
When I bought my new car, Honda offered me 1.9% and my credit union offered three or four.

Buying within your mean's....
So, TLmane03......what's the car of your dreams ?
..... Surely by now, ya have somewhat of an idea what you would like and also can afford.
Used cars can be a good value and offer great savings over a new car, if ya take your time researching the desired model of choice.

You mentioned an important point in your post - down payment. My local credit union, I mentioned above, (https://www.sharoncu.com/rates-resou...loans.htm#auto) will finance 100% (not a real good idea, but they will do it) if you need to.
