Best looking interior in a 30k or less car?

I know this is subjective but which car under $30k has the best looking interior??? I want a modern look. Alot of people say the TSX has a good interior but I find the center console a little bland and boring, even with nav. The gauges and wheel are very nice though . Interior is really important to me, especially at night. The white leds on the TSX buttons are just dull. Any ideas???

yeah, teh IS would probably be the best...otherwise maybe the A4, if you're not down with the tsx...what about used tl?

also the 2006 civic si w/nav ain't too bad imo for being a little over $20k.

I think the new Tribeca interior is hot as hell, Subaru should implement that interior design into it's other models.

The funny thing is, one of the reasons why I like my CL so much is that the dash reminds me of the dash on my ex- 94 Ford Tbird (nice curve up the top, running down to the console) :gheylaugh:

Haha....I knew alot of you will say TSX but honestly, the center console at night is very disappointing. I really like the IS250 interior but that car is way over $30k. The mazda 3 is really nice and so is the mazda6. As you can tell, I like the modern, retro look with lots of black and metallic silver. But again, the gauges on the TSX is beautiful.

What is so disappointing about the console at night? The green colour of all the buttons?

More like the white/biege color. The console just looks very dull, not very lively and interesting. Where's the sport appeal? Doesn't have the cool, wow factor. I actually like the Accord interior better with the sharp triangular layout. It's still a nice interior though, better than lots of other cars but just not the right one for me.

WTF did Ford do on the T-Bird interior???

Atleast they got the Taurus interior right...

I agree with teh . Audi interiors are usually fantastic, and the A4 gives you a lot for the price. The B7 now has relocated the cupholders to a more traditional and functional design, which makes it even better. I like the TSX interior but it's way too close to an Accord's, which I guess comes with the platform and the fact that the TSX is obviously equivalent to the Euro Accord.

By the way, nice song you're listening to over there on your screen.

Funny thing is, my friend has a '91 Ford Thunderbird LX and I always look at his interior and scratch my head. His car has HVAC controls, leather, all this other stuff, and I'm always confused because his car happens to be pretty old. Ford did some things right with that interior back then. He actually threw in some Lincoln Mark VIII leather seats and upgraded the material on the doors with fabric dye, so his interior has a two-tone look of black and tan in it. Not bad for a '91.

Too bad he's going to sell it soon for a '96 Mustang 5-speed.

Even though a 2.0t A4 is a little higher than 30k....

A guy with revo software and exhaust just ran a 14.1 in the 1/4 with his 2.0t A4.

Not really...they're actually on the lower end of the luxury brand pricing-spectrum. Further, with the nicest interiors on the market, they're right on the mark as pricing in concerned.

My vote goes to the VW Passat. That's one sweet looking interior for a $30k vehicle. Though, I don't know if I could bring myself to pay $38k for a fully loaded Passat. I'd just as soon buy an A4. Now, in a few years I'd consider a pre-owned, loaded Passat.

My best friend has an 03 Mazda 6 and compared to my TSX, the interor is lacking. Though the interior of the 6 is sporty, it feels cheap to the touch. His has all silver plastic that looks extremely cheap and the seats on his aren't nearly as supportive. When I get out of his car and into mine, I feel like I'm getting into a Lexus LS430.

For under $30K, I'd say the TSX is the best (not just because I own one). I also give a to the Accord with navi.

Although the interior design is interesting, the quality of mateirals (IMHO, take no offense), is piss poor. Acres and acres of poor, low quality plastics, with huge gaps between panels. Im talking from experience, having driven a Mercury Cougar (similar interior) pretty extensively. The interior on my 95 accord beater displays a much better quality interior, with close panel gaps and quality materials.

Sorry for the hijack! To the OP: I'd need to see a pic of the TSX interior at night to see what your talking about, but my vote still goes with the TSX.

Audi interiors are also TOP-notch as far as quality of materials and fit and finish. I've been driving around in a "borrowed" 3.2TT for the last couple of weeks, and the interior fit and finish, and attention to detail is amazing.

I test drove the mazda 6 yesterday and the interior really has the sporty look I am looking for. The red illuminated console looks slick but the just a little too much plastic for me. I also test drove the Scion tC and the interior has that wow factor but very cheap feel. The audio display is awesome though, you can change the led backlight of the display and it just looks way cool. And with the blue illuminated cabin, I give it a .

As for the TSX at night, you got to sit in one. The center console is very boring. Nothing really stands out. A sport luxury sedan? More like a family luxury sedan on the inside...

And the A3 6 cyl they just realeased is still cheaper than a TL.

a very nicely loaded A4 is the same price as a TL as well.

I'm not sure where you are getting your #'s from
