i was pretty happy with the pull especially with the car being bone stock with only 7700 miles. some of the B6 S4's there with DPs and catbacks were producing around 259-260's HP. those numbers are at the wheels not the crank.

i guess it also depends on the kind of dyno used. this was a mustang dyno.

Somethings off. THats nearly a 30% loss through the drivetrain.

I know being a Mustang Dyno vs. a DynoJet affects it, but thats still a lot.

yeah not much impressed, especially it's a manual transmission. The loss through powertrain shouldn't be that much. I mean isn't the car nearly 340Hp at the crank..

I'm beginning to doubt that it's putting out 340 at the crank.

I have to admit it isn't what I expected, though maybe AWD is sapping more than I would have thought. I was disappointed in my stock baseline on a Mustang dyno at 271 hp and my car was only supposed to have 333hp. How does this match with other 4.2 S4s?

I am not impressed as well. The newer gen S4s are way too heavy and slow. The interior on it is beautiful though.

people often ignore the torque numbers. the car is just amazing when it starts pulling. this is the reason why a lot of people call it a BEAST.

here is what the pros think of the car:

AWD cars suck up lots of horsepower. Mustang dynoes are very conservative. Best measure: take it to the track.
