'07 C6 Z06 and the consequences of poor judgement! Pics.
Well, Friday night my company ran this accident in Fairfax on one of our narrow roads in my response area.
The driver of the Vet had just passed 2 cars on the double yellow about a 1/4 mile before the accident, so say witnesses. He crested a small hill at high speeds and struck this white car making a left turn into his path. The white car was caring 4 16 year old kids. Two were serious but stable and flown out. The driver of that 'vet had minor rib pain. The accident happened at 1am.
I spoke with the 'vet driver, he was unfazed by it all. He told me the car was only a few weeks old and he had already been tracking the car at Summit Point. He was wearing his racing gloves and shoes, I am just staring at this guy like WTF where you thinking and he is oblivious!
Man! Guys, the point is even when you think it might be clear, you just don't know! Really he was an idiot for speeding in such a twisty and narrow road. Anyway, just thought I would share.

If the car the 16 yr olds had been in had been anything less than a Mazda 3, then they'd probably be dead. The 3 held up amazingly well - the impact speed had to be at least 40 -50mph if he was booking it on a backroad.
The Vette driver's attitude is bad, but it looks like the the driver of the 3 was techinically at fault since he pulled out in front of the Vette.
Vette looks TRASHED!
