ya, i'm actually excited about it
I've personally for some reason always really liked the element (although I never thought I'd own one). And this trim has always been my favorite
It was funny, when he told me what I was getting I said "I really hope it's either that obnoxious orange or the silver w/ navy blue trim"

Need to buy a car cover for the GTO now

Just started this week so I'm not sure how I like it yet, but it's fun ( A lot easier and extremely less stressfull then the xerox gig). I'm one of their sales reps covering everything west of the Mississippi
We'll see how it goes, it's going to be a lot of traveling, for example I spend all of next week in Wyoming. Cool thing is I don't have an office and work out of the house

I just deal w/ the distributers mainly wholesalers. And it's more a wine and dine them job. Make sure they are happy and convince them to sell more or our product as opposed to our competitors which the sell as well.

Congrats on the new job. My little brother just picked up a GTO-and it's a blast to drive.

Toyo's are the only tires i've bought for the last 6-7 years

Had a set of T1R's on the goat for about 6 months now. Since it won't be a daily driver i'm going to order a set of RA-1's (our DOT competition tire) to have on it full time
(just have to wait 30 days)

Working from home plus a company car PLUS an industry that you have been passionate about for quite some time? Sounds like a clear winner to me. Congrats

exactly my thoughts

I had a very interesting offer last night that may make me sell the GTO and pick up a friends lotus elise
I was just going to ask if getting a company car meant more mods for the GTO, but a lotus elise would be a good compliment for the element... Might as well get something that's not that practical if you're only going to use it as a weekend car

I wouldn't go off and buy a completely impractical car like the Lotus. You'd be putting a lot of faith into your employment and rely heavily on your employer because they offer you daily transportation.
Just a thought.
An Elise would be nice though
Although you're pretty tall if I remember. I'm 6'3" and don't fit in an Elise.

The guy i'd be buying the elise from is 6'5
Only thing i'm not sold on is that it's black.a reality check tells me i'm 3-4 months away from a decision like this anyways

I wouldn't care if they gave me an 81 Chevette. A free car with free gas and insurance is better than paying. An free Element is a bonus. Nice deal Scott.
But won't you miss all that torque if you sell the GTO?

Yes....but it's something I can get over. My dads 66 mustang w/ the 342 is comming home next week, and our sunbeam w/ the 302 (2500 lbs with 400+ to the wheels) will be following that in mid summer; so I should be covered.
But then again, I love the GTO, and may not be able to get rid of it. Esp. now that I won't be driving it 150+ miles a day.....and plan on doing some head and cam work that should net me 420/420
Who knows what I'll "really" do

I kinda like the element myself.
