Looks good. I say another tick up on the rubber, from 35 to 40 series maybe? It would fill out the wheel well nicely.

It came with 245/40/18's so what would you go with on the stock rims?

I hear you, just make sure you have some good tires on there.

I have some money down on a set of Advan RS-D's in black 18x10 +25

If you can go up to 255/40-18, that should be OK. I don't know if the wheel will give you clearance (it would be just a tick taller than the current wheel/tire setup), or if it would stick out too much (5 cm inside and 5 cm outside). Just a thought. I mean, I don't mind some sidewall, as it makes it a bit forgiving.

And for tires, if money is not a big deal, I do like the tires I run. Bridgestone RE050A. But they will run you a lot ($206 - 275 range each). These are summer only. No winter or near freezing temps.

Oh, I understand. I may do that on the stock rims because soon they will be equipped with winter tires and I'll need maximum grip. The rs-D's (if they ever get here from Japan lol) will be my main wheel, I plan on running 275 or 285/30/18 tires as the rims will be 18x10 +25 and I want the tire to look nice and wide yet not to thick. As for brand, I love bridgestone's.
I may stay with yokohama though which is also very pricey.

Yes, I only wanted white or blue. They tried to sell me a silver mr, I said ABSOLUTELY NOT heh heh.

Nope, It is average on 1.0 correction factor Dyno Dynamics dyno's. They read lower then mustangs if you keep it on that 1.0 correction factor setting.
My power is comparable to about 350 awp by dynojet standards. Also, look at it this way with that 203, I ran 13.4 1/4 mile at the track so you can tell that it is pretty fast for such low power when stock gto's run high 12's.

one question though, I recently saw a guy with these wheels in silver in the same size and offset that I want 18x10 +25 but with springs not coilovers, and I thought the rims looked too small, what do you guys think? Keep in mind I want black not silver

I ask because after seeing this I thought I should go with 19x10's instead.
I found this image of the same rims on an e90 m3 and I think the rims look astonishing but they are 20x10.5 and I would never put that on an evo.

so, help. What would you do 18 or 19x10? Do you think the black cars set up is nice or not?

depends on what your going for. 19's would "look" nicer.
but 18's will be more practical. plus 19" tires are $$$

I have 18's, and they are $218 a tire. I would hate to price out 19's.....

This is true, I think 18's are definately more practical but i'd have to slam the car for them to look right. I'm not sure if you guys ever saw my tl but I had huge rims in it and the performance suffered a lot. It became to heavy, I may just need a really agressive tire on the 18's such as 285/30/18 and it may look better. The black car has 265/35/18

go 18", because it would ride alot better, but don't get silver, get the face and lip one color, a dark bronze or a black color. The darker color will spell performance and give you an excuse to not go with the real skinny tires of the 19". Silver would be better in 19".

sick evo man. I love it. And those wheels will look good in that size compared how much you are dropped right now. The evo with the springs isn't lowered that much at all and your pics look like there is maybe a 1-2 finger gap between the fender and a tire on stock wheels. 18" would fill up that nicely and you don't wanna put 19"s on an evo man

Thank you, I trust You Ronjon guys because you have served the acura community very well! I remember you were one of the first people I called about rims for my TL. But are you saying I should get the black with the machined lip and coat the machined lip black as well? That might be HOT actually.

Your right, I have about a two finger wheel gap. Good eye, I think my decision is becoming more and more clear.

18's will probably perform better, too. And keep you from dropping $4K on a BBK.

don't 19s give you better performance since there isn't as much sidewall/profile to twist and bend, giving you a harder and firmer medium to put the power down? that's what i heard anyway...

you could just do that with 18's and a low pro tire on it.

the smaller the wheel, the less it weighs and the faster it can accelerate

don't go 19s on an evo. and if you don't get such a big lip, it'll look better and bigger. (since its an evo. looks good on the m3) rock some 18s with the right offset and lip and you'll be awesome.. and also, the stock height of that red evo. the front seems so much higher than the rear.

I see you're going to look at 18's. I'll tell you, I drive 215-45's and the performance is nice, but I have more gap. You may want a 40 series so you can have good handling and performance without having a ride that will knock fillings lose.

I agree 100% That's why I think it's definately going to be 18's now. I remember how sluggish my TL was after I went up 3 inches in size. I may just lower it a bit more if I don't like how it looks.

I have to disagree with you, evo's have huge fender space and they look awesome with deep dish lips
--->
Those are 19's by 10.5 Also, evo's are normally raised slightly higher in the front then rear from stock.

I have Tein monoflex coils so all my fillings are knocked to hell already. lol Good thing it's not a daily driver

Thanks for all suggestions and comments again, I'm going to make my final decision by the end of this week so I can pull the trigger.

Thank you sir, I'm working so hard on getting some more goodies for her lol !
You should get one, the price on the 08's is low now since the 09's are about to drop.
Your cars set up looks sick as hell by the way! Are those 20's?

I might get one, as much as I love my TL I could see myself really enjoying driving a new Evo. I would like a car I can take to a track/road course. I have friends with S2Ks and 350Zs who go out to Buttonwillow all the time and I am super jealous. I heard 08s are being sold for rediculous prices. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the comment on my TL, the wheels are 19s BTW

19's ftw, I'm at the track all the time. Drag racing, there's an evo/sti shootout at e town raceway on the 16th. Were going to mangle those snoozaroo's (no offense "mrmako" lol) I loved my TL so much but needed more sportiness in my life before I settled down you know? I sold it to my brother so I still chill in it, but he doesn't come to the track with it either.

None taken. There are a lot of guys who have Imprezza's that are , but I drive the adult car. Now don't get me wrong, an STI can be set up nicely, but it needs to be in the 400 HP range to do some damage.

Yea, I like them but the evo just always called to me. I like the tiny 2.0 with enough boost to choke a bull.
