Bought my TL off ebay without seeing it first (aside from photos). Paid in full, and perfectly satisfied for the most part. However, the car had slightly more mileage than stated in the auction (57k instead of 56k).. no big deal though.

I bought my last 4 cars from eBay. First was a 93 Camry with 101k...ran like a dream...still does...paid in full for 5500 about 5 years ago. Second car was a 95 318i convertible for 9000...55k on it and ran like a dream other than the typical BMW electrical woes (SUCKED ASS)...I actually got rid of the beemer because of that so I can get the TL. Then I bought my 2000TL for 11750 with 73k. This was by far the best deal yet. And just last month I bought a yellow 2002 S2000 that is PERFECT!!!! 19750 with just barely 12k on the odometer. I ran VIN numbers on all my purchases, and the furthest I bought from was Texas where I flew down to Texas to get the Camry and drove it back. Other than that, the other ones were all from dealerships that I researched on the internet first. If you do the math, and check the VINs, and study up on your prospective seller, shouldn't be a problem. Also, check the feedback too...if the person has a shit ton of good feedback, then most likely your car is exactly the way they say it is. Also, I ask for A LOT of pics. If you really are interested in a car, noone ever has a problem with supplying pics.

i bought my previous car on ebay (1993 Taurus SHO). I checked it out beforehand (it was a local sale) and just made sure the seller was reputable. I would do it. i payed for mine through paypal which is in turn linked to my credit card. good luck!

I sold my Integra GS-R on ebay and everything went pretty well. Becuase of that I would buy a car off of ebay. I would rather see the car first but if it was a "must have" and everything look OK I would. Now a motorcycle on the other hand, I would not buy without seeing it from ebay. Too much shady stuff going on with that.
